Nomads handicap ceiling in relation to club handicap is as follows.

A = 0-8 : No Change (0)
B = 9 - 14 : Minus One (1)
C = 15 and up - Minus Two (2)

Ÿ Members to update Jeanne on any change of contact

Ÿ Only ten (10) tickets will be allowed to be sold per

person per game for the “Pick 3"

Ÿ Chino trousers are not allowed to be worn during play and

visitors to wear a jacket and tie for prize giving.

Ÿ We are playing “Ready Golf” not “Speedy Golf”
Ÿ Please adhere to Nomads Dress Code - only recognised

Good day fellow Nomads,

What a disappointment in only 47 EC Nomads
playing on Sunday at our monthly game
against our Southern Cape counter parts. As I
can recall when I became a Nomad, it was
brought under my attention that a “True and Loyal” Nomad will
play all his games in the year. We as Nomads shouldn`t select the
games we play… we should play them all…

The Nomads National Chairman, Andrew Bullen conducted his
annual club visit this past weekend end and I would like to thank
the following People for their help on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
to make this a memorable weekend for Andrew:

There were no problems during his visit and from his feedback, our
club is in a very good position.

Thanks to the Nomads who attended prize giving on Sunday.
Everyone was well behaved and we experienced no problems.

I can now say that I will not join the ranks of the WP Captain in
paying any money over to our “Nash” during his visit!

A big thank you to St Francis Links and St
Francis bay Golf Club for hosting us over the
weekend. We could not have asked for better
treatment.
Thanks to Cape St Francis Holiday resort for sponsoring the
accommodation that was used for Andrew the weekend.
We also won the South Easter trophy again with a .0471% point
margin. Close but good enough!
We have received the second survey feedback from Natex. I will
send it out to all our members in due course
Again thanks for a great weekend.

Good day Fellow Nomads

The weekend of the South Eastern Challenge has come
and gone, thanks to all that attended the weekend.
Thanks to Jeff Clause and the staff at The Links for the
hospitality for our round on Saturday. Well done to all the
Eastern Cape Nomads that participated in the golf on Saturday, that led to
Eastern Cape winning the South Easter challenge.

The prize giving on Sunday went off well and well done to the winners on
the day.

Thanks' to Andre Weitz for his continuous support for Gold Cup
sponsorship for the next 3 years, short round of applause to Yonke
Installations.

Thanks, giving to National chairman Andrew Bullen for his donation of 12
Stella Artois beers to our A.M.T. fund-raising year.

I am going to introduce playing Saturday afternoon's in the future. Have 3
Saturday afternoon games , 3 Sunday morning and 6 Sunday afternoon
games.

Thanks to my 4 ball for good comrade.

The next event for my AMT year will be the Golf day to be held at the Hill on
the 22nd Feb 2019

JVC News

Good day Fellow Nomads,

Things must be getting better. I have heard no
complaints about the prize giving at the time of
writing my report. I do believe the system we have in place has
sped up the process in assisting the Ladies with the finalising of
the prize giving. I do however see that, there are still some of you
that are not handing your score cards in as you finish your round.
(“Help us, help You!”) It takes ± 30 minutes from the last card
handed in to finalising the prize giving.
To my four balls, on both days, thanks for two enjoyable rounds of
golf. I have not, to date, played with some of you before (Pat P,
Bruce W, Roger S), and to the SC guys (Tom Gray, Frankie Brown &
young J.P Meiring), I thoroughly enjoyed both days and I hope, I
can partner up with you guys again in the future.
Thanks to the Alter Bunnies for your assistance in packing away
the Alter. Shaun R, you owe a duty, due to you running away, when
you should have been helping.
Congratulations to all the lucky winners.
A special thanks to George & Bev Saffy for your help and
assistance at the St. Francis Links game.
Thanks to Jeanne, Christell and Bev for your time and hard work
that you both put in for us, as usual on the day.

Nomad’s Notebook

A reminder to members of important information and upcoming events

Late withdrawal from Monthly and Special Games
-members are requested to notify Jean of their intended withdrawal before 17h00 on a Friday
before a game or be liable for the green fees. NO MEMBERS may enter or withdraw on behalf
of other members!

Payments
-Would all Nomads doing EFT or bank deposits please use your name as a reference.
Cheques to be made out to: Nomads Golf Club Eastern Cape

Divisional Trophies
-Those members who have been victorious at a monthly game are urged to return their divisional
trophies to the Equipment Officer before the next game or incur a R200.00 fine

Tee-Off Times
-the Starter is struggling to ensure that the field gets off the tee box on time at our various games
-we urge you to arrive in due time at the respective courses, bearing in mind all that must be done
before even teeing up your ball on the 1st

Early Leavers (You will be fined!!)
You will be charged R20.00 for apologies at Registration -
R40 for apologies after the game and R100 for not apologising at all.
“Note that prize giving is part of the day and we owe it to our sponsors to attend.”

Dress Code
-Regulation dress is required at all times. The correct attire can be obtained from Orion Meyer.
