Our new Reception cohort are settling in very well to Some children in Pre-Prep attended the 1066
Claremont life. We cannot wait for all the adventures Gymnastics camp this summer and all of these
there are to be had! brilliant pupils received a certificate to show how
well they did. Well done to you all.
Frankie B and Melanie have both moved up a level in Kung Fu. Matilda and Mollie's rosettes were for
'most improved riders in group' at
Beauport Riding school pony camp.
To all our pupils in Pre-Prep,
new and old, we welcome you
back to school and hope you
have a fantastic year.
Hello and welcome to Foxes.
Our new Foxes have had an amazing time settling in this week. We have met our new class
teachers: Miss Greenfields & Mr Booth.
We have explored our fantastic farm shop role play area with real fruit and baskets. We love
weighing and buying all the different fruit.
We have also really enjoyed camping out with a good book in our very own camp site.
On Monday we really loved our dance lesson with Miss Greenfields - shaking our sillies out and
jumping up and down like kangaroos. On Tuesday we had our first ever French lesson where we
learnt to say hello in French: ‘Bonjour’. On Wednesday, we enjoyed creating amazing craft
pictures for Miss Greenfields to display. On Thursday we worked as a team and created really
tall towers in our construction time. On Friday we went on a dinosaur hunt, to find the missing
dinosaurs who were hiding around the classroom.
In Badgers this week, we have introduced the classroom and new environments, to help them
settle in to the routine and their surroundings. We have been introduced to Forest School, in which the children learned
the boundaries and took part in some circle games too. In addition to this, we have been getting messy when learning our
shapes, with multiple sensory based activities throughout the week ranging from; sand to aqua beads, this has supported
the children in recognising 2D shapes and also reinforced concepts such as capacity and counting.
Welcome back everyone! We hope you all had a lovely summer. We have some new
faces in the Hedgehogs classroom, and some new grown up Hedgehogs too: Jenn,
Donna Sweeney and Zeta Willard. This week we have be engaging in lots of social
activities to make our new friends at ease, and helping them adjust to a new routine.
We've been painting pictures for our display board and playing lots of friendship
building games.
The Robins room would like to welcome all our new children from
Butterflies, who have settled in very well. We would also like to welcome
Charlotte Thornley and Sandra Banford as two new members of staff as
well as Abigail Kirsopp, and Louise Coombe, who is now the Robins room
leader.
This week in Robins we are looking at the colour red and doing lots of lovely
A big welcome back to all the Ducklings and Butterflies and to Abigail
Kirsopp who has started this week. We hope you have all had a lovely
break. This week both rooms have enjoyed hand and foot printing,
playdough play with the rolling pins and cutters, and sensory play.
Please could all the Butterflies bring in some wellies with their names
on, as we are going to be having lots of fun in the woods and school
grounds. Thank you.
Squirrels have had a fantastic week. One of the activities was placing
familiar faces in sand and the children are asked to brush the sand away to
reveal the face hidden in the sand. They had a lovely time discussing where
that person might be in the Nursery! We then discussed the face and what
we liked about them. Our other focus has been on family and home life this
week, spending time talking about what we like to do with our loved ones in
our free time.
