Mai Khao Beach is another popular tourist destination due to its proximity to Phuket Airport’s runway. It is a white Buddha image in the attitude of Subduing Mara, located on the top of Khao Nak Kerd. Due to its enormous size, it can be seen from many places in Phuket. Situated in a distinctively beautiful garden that is 25 meters wide and 45 meters high. Made of reinforced concrete decorated with white jade marble, the weight of white jade marble is about 135 tons per 2,500 square meters. วัดมงคลนิมิตร The old temple of the ancestors of the people of Phuket, popularly called Wat Klang because it is located in the middle of the city. Mongkhon Nimit Temple or Wat Klang is the only royal temple in Phuket built around AD 1880. It is assumed that the city governor built it and bestowed Wisungkhamsima on it around AD 1885. This temple used to be a place to hold Phra Pipat Satya water every year. There is a water ceremony, and there is a place for state ceremonies and various ceremonies. วัดพระทอง หรือ วัดพระผุด Fascinating old temple with sacred legends of a large half-Buddha miraculously rising from the ground. In the past, the governor had ordered the excavation of the Buddha image to be worshiped, but it did not work. Later, the villagers brought gold to cover the half of the Buddha image that appeared from the ground, which is still visible these days. Outside the main hall, there is also the Wat Phra Thong Museum that displays Phuket antiques such as Zhang Sui (a tin miner’s raincoat), Teentuk shoes (Chinese women’s shoes) that have to be tied up with small feet according to social values in that era, and many more antiques. There is a legend of the White Lady’s Blood that has been passed down from generation to generation that says the White Lady’s Blood, who was the governor’s wife, whice city did not appear clerly. The villagers call it “Wat Muang”. It is an abandoned temple under the supervision of Wat Phra Nang Sang. The temple area is enshrined in Phra Phuttha Mani Si Thalang (the royal name). It is cast with pewter, lap size 109 inches, in the posture of Kantharat or Prathan Fon posture, sitting outside the sanctuary under the Bodhi tree. With the Department of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presiding over pouring tin casting in 1996, this temple has a broken half-headed stucco Buddha image. Locals believe that the spirit of the monk in the reign of King Rama V who died at this temple still lives to protect the temple, and the spirit of Luang Pu Thong resides on the half Buddha image. ศาลเจ้าท่าเรือ Pud Jor Shrine, also known as Jui Tui Peng Ex San Guan Yim Biew, is a very old shrine in Phuket, located in the heart of the city, next to Jui Tui Tao Bo Keng. The menu only consists of boiled rice and noodles with minced pork, liver, soft intestines, and eggs according to Ma’s secret recipe. Later, the rice porridge sold very well, causing Pa and Ma to decide to sell the whole porridge along with a new cooking recipe, “Three Tiger Stew, Chinese Stew Recipe,” and Ama’s steamed custard, which has been passed on as a secret recipe from generation to generation.
