Traditional GAME

It is believed that during the Srivijaya Kingdom in the seventh century, traders brought it from China to this part of the world. It was once referred to as a kite but has since expanded in size and appearance and is now more frequently called a wau among Malaysians. typically found in Terengganu and Kelantan. Farmers used to make wau to frighten birds away from their paddy fields. Its typical dimensions are greater than those of a regular kite, being 3.5 metres long and 2.5 metres wide. The rangka is made from strips of bamboo that are connected with thin string. For stability while it flies through the air, balance and symmetry must be maintained. Three layers of paper are then often used to cover the frame. The first, which is made of plain transparent paper, covers the kite's wingspan. The second, which is cut out to serve as the kite's primary decoration and is adhered to the first, adds additional ornamentation. Wau is currently created into decorative products and used mostly in kite flying competitions, like as the yearly Pesta Wau Kebangsaan in Kelantan. Wau Bulan, which has a crescent-shaped bottom, and Wau Burung, which are based on the anatomy of birds, are the two most popular wau. WAU Is thought to have been derived from the term "congak," which signifies mental calculation. only two players can play at once. Its platform or board was originally made on flat terrain before changing to wooden boards. The platform has two big holes called "rumah" and 14 tiny holes called "kampung" cut onto it. Each player has seven kampung on either side of them, with one rumah on the left. Each kampung features seven "buah" pieces that were originally constructed of rubber seeds but are now frequently used in place of them. Players will simultaneously take buah from one of their kampungs and insert each one clockwise into the kampung until it reaches an empty kampung. The main objective of the game is to stuff as many buah as you can into each other's rumah. Until there are no more buah in the kampung, the game will continue with each player taking a turn. The player with the most buah in the rumah wins. CONGKAK Likewise known as Selambut, which translates to "five stones." In their free time, girls typically play in groups of two to five people. Originally, people used fruit pieces, rubber seeds, or tiny pebbles as its components, but over time, small fabric bags have taken their place. Players must throw up a piece one at a time then scoop up other pieces before catching the thrown-up piece with just one hand. If the piece is tossed and it hits the ground, no points are awarded to the player. The winner is the player with the most points. BATU SEREMBAN
