adaptability

Celebration of success and prize giving

June 2021

Welcome...

It has been yet another unique year, not just within the walls of Worksop College, but
across the globe. Although I am sad not to welcome you all in person to the College
to celebrate this year’s Prize giving, I hope you enjoy our virtual interpretation.

The resilience and adaptability within the Worksop College community never ceases to
amaze me, and I cannot help but be filled with pride as I think back on how staff, pupils,
parents and OWs have supported each other through the last couple of years. I would
like to thank each and every one of you for making such difficult times more bearable.

Despite the differing circumstances of this year’s Prize giving, we sincerely hope that
we can make this a momentous and memorable day for our students, especially those
who are leaving us. The patience and positivity I have witnessed from our Upper Sixth
students has been incomparable; traits that will make them stand out as OWs and will
carry them well through life. I wish them every success in whatever they decide to do
in the future.

Congratulations to all of our prize winners. Every one of you should be extremely
proud of all you have achieved this year, and I am extremely pleased to commend you
all today.

As the light at the end of this tunnel shines brighter, it offers us hope for the coming
years at Worksop College. I feel optimistic as I think of the future of our school, and I
know that we will continue to thrive as life returns to how it should be.

In the meantime, I would like to thank you all for the overwhelming support. As always,
it is a privilege to be your Headmaster.

Take care, stay safe and keep in touch.

Dr John Price, Headmaster
