As, the color of the leaves are changing on the trees. And the brisk breeze of autumn
causes us to retrieve an additional wrap to stay warm. This year has manifested
changes, which has brought forth myriads ways to live our lives. Change is inevitable,
scary and fun, when we encounter the unknown, it feels like entering the Twilight
Zone. Change has caused us (man/womankind) to become creative, loving and
expansive from our spiritual rocking chair. Change has
engineered opportunities to view life from a spiritual
perspective of a 20/20 vision. So, lets embrace the
transformation of the greatest version of ourselves.
Enjoy the journey as you change.

Greetings from CFO

Greetings from the God Land Board of Directors and staff. Praying that you and your
families are staying safe, secure and are healthy, whole and complete.
As the Chief Financial Officer of God Land Unity Church, I would like to personally thank
all members and those who are not members that continue to tithe and make donations
while we are not in the physical building. These tithes and donations cover the expenses
of the church that have not stopped due to the pandemic which has kept us from worship
in physical presence. We have paid down the DTE bill so that it is now current, and the
water bill is down half the rearage from what it was at the beginning of the year, while
also paying the monthly bill. These are big accomplishments at a time when many
churches and businesses continue to struggle just to keep the doors open. We have kept
all employees on staff as well.
This is the first year since I have been on the Board or CFO that our beloved church has
been in the black column the whole year!! You do not know how exciting for me that is
and for all who have given, you should take part in this celebration for our church. We
continue to make strides on funding outside of tithing that will increase our abilities to do
more for our community, which is one of our main goals.
I have been part of the God Land family for 12 years now and part of the Leadership for a
good part of that – after serving as Board President and now CFO. I can not remember a
more exciting time financially for our church. My family and I have been blessed by you
and have so many good friends that feel like family at God Land. We miss the hugs and
beautiful faces of all the members and visitors and anticipate the re-opening when we can
do so safely. While we cannot be present in the building, hopefully you are getting as
much as I am out of the online Sunday worship broadcast and spreading the word about
it since we can reach more people all over the world in this format. We will continue to
find ways to enhance the broadcast and appreciate you all very much.
Stay safe during the upcoming Holiday season.
Remember GET OUT and VOTE to be the CHANGE!
