LETTER
FROM
PRESIDENT

Leverage your membership

MARKISHA MITCHELL
There are some simple actions you can take, today, to get the most out of
your membership in WEWEN.

-Reexamine the level of your involvement. Show up, get connected, get
involved. Attend monthly meetings. Schedule a "BizFriends". Participate in
Coffee & Connect. Reconsider serving as a delegate for WEWEN with one
of our affiliate organizations. You'd be surprised at the opportunities that
come your way when you veer from your comfort zone.

-Explore educational opportunities provided by ABWA. Sign up and
complete Apex Classes on Community Connections. Begin with one of the
current complementary course offerings from the National Team.
Reposition your self for success by reaching out to a fellow member, you
can both encourage and hold each other accountable. Look into
scholarships and reimbursement opportunities being offered.

-Adjust your relationship with Zoom. Virtual meetings, conferences, etc
are not going away anytime soon. They may not be ideal for all, but they
offer a great opportunity to network with people you may not be able to
meet with face to face. Consider joining a ABWA sister league during one
of their monthly meeting or zoom socials.

-Please, REACH out! Many have been forced to make significant
adjustments in response to 2020 (and 2021). Please know that you can
do hard things and you do not have to do them alone and you are
surrounded by WEWEN members that are willing to help empower each
other.
