MX-30 R-EV FAQs How does the MX-30 R-EV differ from any other plug-in hybrid vehicle? A typical plug-in hybrid uses batteries to power an electric motor which, in turn, powers the internal combustion engine (ICE). The vehicle will tend to run on electric power until the battery is nearly empty and then automatically switch the use the ICE. The MX-30 R-EV is a plug-in hybrid like no other and the ICE is used as a generator to charge the battery so you can enjoy an uninterrupted electric driving experience. What is the range of the MX-30 R-EV? The Mazda MX-30 R-EV boasts a pure electric range of 53 miles which is sure to cover the average daily drive. The onboard generator is designed to recharge the battery when it gets low, which means you can continue driving in pure electric mode for over 400 miles.
What is the service schedule for an MX-30 R-EV? The service schedule is every 12 months or 12,500 miles – whichever comes first. The MX-30 R-EV has been developed to reduce the excessive use of oil and should only need to be maintained during routine service appointments. Does the battery have a warranty? Yes it does! The high voltage battery is covered by a Mazda manufacturer warranty for up to 8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. DISCOVER MORE
SOUTHSEA KITE FESTIVAL 2023 Snows Mazda was proud to be part of the 2023 Southsea Kite Festival, which is a free annual event organised by Portsmouth City Council and The Kite Society of Great Britain. A truly spectacular weekend showcasing hundreds of kite fliers from around the world. This annual festival, which typically occurs during the summer months, transforms the open skies over the Solent into a vibrant canvas of fluttering kites, drawing locals and visitors alike to revel in the joy of this unique spectacle.
The Southsea Kite Festival also features live music, food stalls, and various entertainment options, making it a well-rounded experience for everyone. With the backdrop of the sparkling sea and the distant view of the Isle of Wight, the festival exudes a charming and relaxed coastal ambiance. When visitors weren’t looking to the skies watching the kite flying displays, they enjoyed viewing the range of Mazda vehicles we had on display and chatting to our team.
MEET HOLLY SEARLE ONE OF OUR MAZDA SERVICE TECHNICIANS Holly Searle’s journey from joining the Mazda Apprenticeship Programme to becoming a skilled technician at Snows Mazda is a testament to her determination, passion and hard work. She knew she wanted a hands-on career and this led her to apply for the programme, which is a comprehensive training scheme that equips individuals with the required skills and knowledge. Holly’s commitment paid off and she successfully passed her End Point Assessment and is now a Qualified Mazda Service Technician. Following her qualification, Holly welcomed the safe arrival of her daughter in September, and everyone at Snows Mazda is very much looking forward to welcoming her back after her maternity leave. As a family business, Snows embrace women working within the motor industry and recognise their significant contribution and help to create a more inclusive and diverse workforce.
