The 2021 Big Draw Festival DE is
part of an annual event celebrated
in more than 25 countries during
October.

This year, the Mispillion Art
League is bringing the festival activi-
ties to a different location on each of
the five Saturdays in October.

Attendees can experience free
fun art activities at five locations
around Milford, starting Oct. 2 with
Banneker School, 449 North St.; and
continuing Oct. 9, at Avenue Method-
ist Church, 20 North Church St.; Oct.
16, Lulu Ross School, 310 Lovers Lane;
Oct. 23, Milford Armory, 604 North
Walnut St.; and Oct. 30, Bicentennial

Witch parade balloon.

THE CHAMBER IS ALWAYS COMING UP WITH NEW
EVENTS AND PROMOTIONS, AND THIS YEAR WILL
BE NO DIFFERENT.

The festival’s original balloon, nicknamed Sally, was
retired in 2019 after nearly two decades of service. The
chamber has commissioned the making of a new witch,
and if everything goes as planned, that balloon will
make its debut in this year’s parade.

True Blue Jazz Fest sticks close to roots

In what has become a mainstay on
the Cape Region musical landscape,
the True Blue Jazz Festival will return
this year Oct. 13-17, with live and vir-
tual performances. See the complete

Organized by Peggy Raley and Ed-
die Sherman, aka Sherman Ward, the
festival showcases the straight-ahead
jazz genre. The mission of the fest is
to preserve jazz while reaching out to
