Hollywood star Will Smith visited the sets of Punit Malhotra’s ‘Student
of the Year 2’ and spent some time with the lead cast of the film
which stars Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria, and Ananya Panday.
He visited the sets of Karan Johar’s production project SOTY 2 and
was seen bonding with the lead actors of the film.
Dharma Productions official Instagram page shared a picture of Tiger

“They have planned elaborate publicity campaigns, advised and
guided actors with image-building, have been an integral part of PR
strategies, and wielded much more influence on media than most of
the current publicists. I know, because I have been there,” says the
publicist who started out in PR in the 90s and went on to become a
trendsetter.
Dale is one of the few actively surviving Bollywood publicists of that
time and still leads the PR brigade in innovation. A simple search with
his name brings up thousands of web results. The PR expert points
out that public relations existed in tinsel town much before the 90s.
“Bollywood PR has been thriving since the days of Raj Kapoor, Dev
Anand, Sunil Dutt and Dilip Kumar,” remarks Dale, who also handled
personal PR for Dev Anand as well as his last film Chargesheet.
“We have had PR greats such as VP Sathe whose publicity agency
had a monopoly over media campaigns in the 50s and 60s. And
then Bunny Reuben, who handled the PR for Raj Kapoor and films
of Yash Chopra, BR Chopra, Basu Bhattacharya and GP Sippy. It’s
been boom-time for PRs all the way since then.” Point taken.

“Actress Kajol kick-started her career in the showbiz in the 90s
when the PR machinery was not in force. In the 90s, it was all
about how actors conducted themselves in front of the media

in disagreement. “It’s incorrect to say that strong PR didn’t exist

Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt, who recently shot for her ‘Koffee with Karan’ episode with Deepika Padukone, is heading to Kargil in
Ladakh for the next schedule of her upcoming drama ‘Kalank’.
Taking to Instagram, Alia uploaded a snap in which she can be seen posing for a picture with her team in a bus while looking
outside the window.
She captioned the image, which was posted on her Instagram Story, as “Kargil Calling.”
Directed by Abhishek Varman, the forthcoming film will star an ensemble cast of Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha,

Later in a conversation with indianexpress.com, Jackie Shroff was asked if he would
personally take a stand to not work with sexual offenders, the actor said, “They aren’t
working anyway now. No one’s working with them. My thing is if something is out in
open, then let law take the course. Let’s not dilute it by just talking about it.”
The actor, who is the father of Tiger Shroff and Krishna Shroff, also said that the one
advice he has always given his daughter is to give back to a man when he makes
her uncomfortable. “I have told her to slap him there and then. Women shouldn’t feel
intimidated just because the men are in some higher position,” he said.

Irrfan Khan might return to India post Diwali

A spokesperson for Irrfan Khan dismissed the reports that the actor will soon start shooting for Hindi Medium 2.
The 51-year-old actor is currently in London undergoing treatment for a neuroendocrine tumour.
The spokesperson, however, said that Irrfan may return to the country after Diwali.

“The story floating about Irrfan starting
Hindi Medium 2 shoot in December are
all based on speculations. However,
there is a possibility of him returning to
India after Diwali,” the spokesperson
said in a statement.
A report in an online portal had claimed
the actor will be flying to India to shoot
for the sequel of his 2017 hit.

Irrfan first spoke of his health on March
5, when he revealed that he was
suffering from a ‘rare disease’. He later

Adapting Iago into an Indian setting was quite an achievement on director Vishal Bhardwaj’s part but playing him like Saif did, is what

made him memorable.

In the few scenes that Saif’s character shares with Deepak Dobriyal’s Rajju, especially the one where he realises how he has been

wronged by Omi, Saif’s controlled body language, confident stance, and authoritative dialogue delivery gets the audience ready for the

hell he plans to unleash.

In a scene with Indu, played by Konkona Sen Sharma, when Tyagi finally gets the ‘kamarbandh’ that he plans to use as the key to all the

chaos, you can see the madness that he has nested inside him spilling over.

That year, Saif won a few popular awards for this performance. But over the past few years, we have seen that Saif is an actor who

impresses seasonally. His season is back with Sacred Games and we can only hope that he doesn’t let us down with his upcoming film

Baazaar.

He has proved himself indispensable in both comedy and intense
stories but Rajkummar Rao says no one has offered him an out-and-
out action film yet. Rao said he started learning Taekwondo at an
early age and hopes he is able to showcase this side in a film soon.
“Not many people know about this interest of mine in doing action,
also somebody has to take that risk. Nobody can imagine me doing
action, I hope someone casts me in an action film,” Rajkummar told
PTI.
The actor said he trained in both Taekwondo and dance before
turning to acting.
“I am glad I learned dance as it helped me in my acting. It helps you
understand rhythm and beat. Not many people know that I am a
trained martial artist and I know Taekwondo. Someday I will do a film
that will be able to showcase this side of me,” he said.
Rajkummar is currently busy with Made in China, after which he will
begin work on Imli in 2019.
The role of a struggling Gujarati businessman in Made in China is
close to the actor’s heart.
“It is an unusual tale of a Gujarati businessman who is an underdog.
We all have dreams and we all want to make it big. I have learnt the
language and the other aspects of the Gujarati culture.”
Directed by the National Award-winning Gujarati filmmaker Mikhail
Musale, the film also stars Mouni Roy and Boman Irani and will hit
the screens on Independence Day in 2019.
Rajkummar said he is thrilled to be reteaming with Kangana Ranaut
for the third time for Anurag Basu’s Imli. The two have worked
together in Queen (2014) and their upcoming film “Mental Hai Kya”
is set to hit cinema houses in February 2019.
“The collaboration is going to be great. There is a comfort level as
we have known each other for a while. She is a wonderful actress. I
feel happy when I get a good co-actor because then you are as good
as your co-actor.
“I am a huge fan of Anurag Basu, he is one of the most talented
directors in the film industry. I am very excited about it. I will start
shooting early next year,” he said.

Dev: Suriya unveils first look posters of
Karthi’s upcoming film

Actor Suriya on Thursday launched the first look poster of his brother Karthi’s upcoming film Dev. The poster features an angry-
looking Karthi standing next to his sports bikes. The film is being made on a huge budget and it will mark the directorial debut of
Rajath Ravishankar.
Actor Rakul Preet Singh is playing the female lead in the film, which is bankrolled by Prince Pictures and Reliance Entertainment. The
movie marks her reunion with Karthi after last year’s cop film Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru.
Dev, which is also being shot in Telugu, is said to cost more than Rs 50 crore for its producers. The film also stars Ramya Krishnan,
Prakash Raj, Amrutha and RJ Vignesh among others in pivotal roles. Seasoned actor Karthik will play a cameo in the film.

The shooting took place in and around Mt Everest, and also in Nepal. The film’s cast and crew got stranded in Manali due to the floods
recently. “We actually had to shoot particular scenes in the ambience of rainfalls or snowfalls. Apparently, things were perfect with gentle
rains and even the weather forecast didn’t have an alarming situation, which was until yesterday. But the situation got worsened with
unceasing landslides and floods, where the huge rocks started rolling down the hills and hampering the vehicular traffic and movement.
I was stranded inside the car for nearly 4-5 hours and was later insisted to stay in a nearby village for safety purpose. What’s more
deplorable is that 140 members are being isolated there without any communication at the mountain top (sic),” Karthi had said in a
statement earlier.
Karthi was last seen Kadaikutty Singam. A rural drama directed by Pandiraj and bankrolled by Suriya became a huge hit at the box office.
