Diary Writing about a travel recount

Write a travel recount about having spent two days during the summer break in any place up-
North, Pakistan.

Dear Diary,
Day 1
Today was an exciting morning; I woke up thrilled with a big smile on my face. We had a plan to
visit Ayubia, with my cousins.

We packed snacks with us and some extra clothes in case of
any emergency. Between the ways we saw hundreds of monkeys
there. Deep Woods surrounded us, and it felt like clouds were
with us too. So many people were also there traveling. After we
reached there, we had a little rest in PC Bhurban. We kept our
luggage in the room and went for a drive. Next we had a little
tour of the place. Afterwards that, we sat on the chair lift
which was incredible. We also had our lunch over there. Later, after all this fun we went back to
our place and did horse riding back over there. The adults had their tea at the Nadia hall and we
had a buffet dinner. We sat back at the balcony and the view was beautiful. The swimming pool
and everything was amazing. Later we went to sleep.

Dear Diary,
Day 2
Today I woke up a little late because of yesterday's tiredness. We had complimentary breakfast,
dressed ourselves, and went on our way to Nathia Gali.

We climbed the hills; it seemed dangerous, although it was fun. And it felt
like we were above the clouds. We visited an old CHURCH. There was a big
ground near it. There were swings, slides and other entertaining stuff for
kids and adults. It was very cold there.  We had our lunch in one of the
restaurants there. We were tired and it wasn’t a fun place for kids so we
convinced the adults to move on. Then we moved on towards the Murree
mall road. We bought some handicrafts and some other stuff; we also
bought some gifts for other cousins who couldn’t take part in the trip. We ate ice-cream and the
adults had tea over there. After spending two hours there, we went on our way back to
Islamabad. Finally, when we reached there, we talked about the trip, and then went to sleep.

THE END

A travel recount by Alishba Yarra Hussainy V RED
Dear Diary,
Day 1: I’ve had an exhausting day. I have gone to Hunza valley and all the valleys surrounding it. On the
way, we saw a magnificent lake which would make you want to build a house next to it. We went to see
Saif-mulaik Lake, then we collected different kinds of rocks. On the passing way, there were fields and
fields of the most delicious fruits you have ever seen. Finally, we stopped to take a rest that day at
Serena Hotel. It was also magnificent. It had a wonderful garden with delicious fruit. I went to a river for
a boat ride but they didn’t let me do it because they said I was too young and I especially didn’t like the
part when a blue spider was climbing onto me.
Day 2: We went to another Serena Hotel and we went with my dad’s friend to a river. We had fun there
and then we went to Babusar top where we brought nice honey and we saw the amazing view from
there. Back at the hotel, there were humungous fields of fruits that would make your mouth water for
them. The traditional soup there was delicious. We went to Azad Kashmir and we had to stay cautious as
my father said it was dangerous because India was angry with us that time. Gilgit Baltistan was glorious.
We collected different kinds of rocks and we bought jewelry from a jeweler. We had lunch at a
restaurant and enjoyed traditional music and dance of Gilgit Baltistan. We went to Baltit fort in Hunza.
Believe it or not, it was a 1000 years old! We also went to Rakaposhi. Dad made a promise that we will
visit it again.
Signing off,
Alishba Yarra Hussainy

SOME GLIMPSES OF THE TRIP.

Diary Writing About a Travel Recount

Day 1:
Dear Diary,
I watched the glorious snowcapped mountains of Hunza Valley as we unpacked. It was a
beautiful scenery. My parents and I were camping for two days at Hunza Valley. The scenery
was spectacular and it was lush green everywhere. Flowers and plants were blooming in the
wide meadows and when you gazed around it gave comfort to your eyes. We put up our tent
near an area with a waterfall flowing and due to the sunlight, water droplets sparkled like gems
and gave an extraordinary look. In the evening we ate and went to hike on the steep mountains.
While hiking I took samples of flowers with me. After an hour we came back tired and fell into a
deep slumber.
Day 2:
It was our last day so we set out to explore the mountains at dawn. The sunrise was magnificent
and breathtaking. We plucked fresh fruit from the trees and ate them to our amazement as they
were extremely ripened and succulent. We had never tasted such ripe and fresh fruit before.
Later we had to stop nearby a brook to drink some water. Afterwards, I started collecting
beautiful bird feathers and oddly shaped stones. Then as we approached the road we saw a
market and bought some souvenirs and local attire. At night we arrived at our campsite and took
a bus back to our destination.
If you get a chance to go to Hunza valley don’t miss it.

A trip to Murree

Day 1:
‘The best part of the beauty is that which no picture can describe’. It was almost
mid of July when we all cousins left for Murree. We enjoyed the whole journey
from Lahore to Rawalpindi. We reached Rawalpindi at 10 o'clock.
We rested for a while in Rawalpindi and purchased many things of daily needs.
We reached Murree at 2:00 p.m. the same day. The weather was gusty and
dusty. The huge masses of clouds appeared in the winking of an eye. An inky
darkness prevails everywhere. Cool wind was blowing birds were diving up and
down on the waves of cool breeze. And at that time, it seemed as if ‘Nature is
standing in front of us in all its beauty and grace’.

Day 2:

Next day we checked into an old hotel called

‘Sunny View’. After having a quick rest there for a

while, we came out to have a view of Murree

hills. The valley below the hills looked like a great

cup full of flowers and flowing streams. The

beautiful flowers of eye-catching colors were

dancing in the cold breeze and looking so beautiful, and then we walked to

Kashmir point and enjoyed ourselves with its scenic beauty. When it was dark,

we made for our hotel. A gentle shower of rain began to fall. When it started

tipping it down, it also created a musical sound. Next day we woke up early

morning, took our breakfast and traveled back to Lahore. It was the most

memorable journey of my life.

Dear Diary

Day 1: I was getting extremely bored during lockdown and really wanted to go
out and have some fun. Surprisingly that night my uncle came to visit us he
planned a trip to Abbottabad which was quite interesting. We went to pack and
had dinner then we went to sleep so that we could wake up early in the
morning. I couldn’t sleep due to excitement but finally I slept. I woke up early in
the morning, I brushed me teeth and got dressed suddenly it started raining so I
went outside to enjoy the rain but when the rain stopped my uncle came to pick
up us and we started our journey for Abbottabad. After 6 hours we reached our
destiny, we were staying in the Army mess which was really beautiful. I had
joyful swings we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner. The beds were very
comfortable so we slept early as we were really tired also.

Day 2: On the first day in Abbottabad, we didn’t go to see the places around
but the second day we went to Thandiani. We didn’t go till the top because I
wasn’t feeling well so we just stopped near the water fall. The water there was
drinkable as there were a lot of people filling their bottles with that pure water.
Of course we were on the mountain so there were mountain goats so I touched
one of them it was a cute little goat. The way back down was pretty hard
because I wasn’t feeling well at all. Eventually we were down from that tall
mountain we had ice cream and when we reached the mess it was getting
windy and it started to rain. We ordered French fries for snacks I was very
worried for my father, I took a deep breath when he was back. We went in our
room and went to rest, we ordered bar.b.que for dinner. The barbeque was
very good. After dinner I was very sleepy so I went to sleep. The next morning
we woke up, had breakfast and started our journey back to Lahore.

Instructions: Write a travel recount about having spent two days during the summer break in any
place up-North, Pakistan. You can imagine that you have spent two days in Hunza.

Trip to Hunza
Dear diary,
Day 1:

There were grey clouds scattered over the sky as we passed the highway
with joy. My family was very happy that it was raining today. I started
eating the junk food that I had secretly brought along. After a few minutes,
I started feeling restless and wanted the trip to end. As I entered Gilgit
Baltistan, my mouth dropped open! The scenery was very beautiful. The
mountains were big and snowcapped. There were flowers with long lime
green grass. Finally, we were at the awesome hotel. We went to our
booked room and surveyed our surroundings. The room was super cool and
big. The huge windows were transparent with a great view outside. We had
dinner on the balcony and it was very superb. We went down to the room
and slept peacefully.

Day2:

This was the day that we had been waiting for. We were going to visit the
Ultar Sar Mountain! I had wanted to go to that mountain for years. I quickly
finished my omelets and got ready to go. The only path through the
mountain was hiking, so we grabbed our supplies and followed our guide.
The view was very good and the water was crystal clear. The mountain was
very cool with the clouds touching its pointy peak. The mountain soil was
hard and was very green because there were lots of long and wide trees
and shrubs on the mountain. The view was beautiful and it was very cold
over there even though it was summer. We stayed for a few hours and
when it got dark we decided to head back. We went to the hotel and ate

the tastiest dinner. We slept
and went to Lahore the very
next day.
