Executive of
Marketing
The Executive of Marketing oversees the marketing and communications of the
Commerce Students’ Society. Globally, the Executive of Marketing is responsible
for ensuring the cohesiveness of the CSS brand across all channels, determining
the design and feel of the brand as well as coordinating event-driven portfolios
(Events, Engagement, & Academics). In essence, the Executive of Marketing and
the marketing portfolio in general act as a supporting team to ensure that the CSS
reaches the larger Business student community.
This role requires strong multitasking and communication skills, as this portfolio is
continuously helping other portfolios achieve their engagement objectives with the
larger student body.
The structure of the portfolio is comprised of 5 directors that act in their role for a
total of 1 year (Communications, Design, Media & IT, Visual Strategy, and Apparel),
plus two seasonal (summer) directors for the design and production of the
graduating class yearbook. This year, we hired 5 brand ambassadors outside of the
CSS to broaden event communication.
