DRAPER TOYOTA

DESIGN CHALLENGE:

For Draper Toyota’s new showroom in Saginaw, Michigan the SPACE designer was asked to
enhance the overall client experience by creating a warm & welcoming environment. She
needed to select colors on the Toyota approved color palette and keep the project within
a very tight budget.

DESIGN SOLUTION:

To reflect the Toyota brand, the designer chose fabrics & finishes which were seam-
lessly incorporated throughout the new space. The furniture arrangements provided
comfortable settings to sit, talk and relax, and supported Draper’s focus on creating ex-
ceptional client experiences. The product was purchased on a special pricing agreement
that resulted in the entire furniture package coming under budget.







NORTHWOOD DEVOS GRADUATE SCHOOL

DESIGN CHALLENGE:

According to President Keith Pretty, “Northwood University’s programs are both unique
and proven. Whether it is one of the specialty degree programs, experiential learning, the
teaching methodologies in our DeVos management program, the extra service we provide
our students, or our global footprint, Northwood cannot be easily duplicated.” To align
with this vision, the SPACE designer needed to create a collaborative space that supported
Northwood’s student-centered learning methodology at the new Northwood Troy campus.

DESIGN SOLUTION:

The designer created numerous break-out & informal meeting areas for various types
of collaboration. She incorporated cutting-edge Workware technology by Haworth so
students can share information between campuses around the globe.







DOW DIAMOND STADIUM

DESIGN CHALLENGE:

The biggest challenge? Design, order & install an entire minor league baseball facility in
less than six months to have the ballpark ready for fans on opening day. This was the de-
sign challenge SPACE designers faced when creating the interior spaces for Dow Diamond
in Midland, Michigan.

DESIGN SOLUTION:

From the outdoor dining deck, to the Suite Level, to the offices & locker rooms, the SPACE
design team worked closely with the client to exceed expectations and finish the project
before opening day. To accomplish this monumental task SPACE assigned an entire team
of designers to the project and divided the areas into manageable sections. As a result,
Dow Diamond was named Best New Ballpark in 2007 & Best Ballpark in Michigan in 2012.







STEVENS WORLDWIDE VAN LINES

DESIGN CHALLENGE:

Take a space that was renovated in the early 1980’s and transform it to support the
changes in work styles, embrace new technologies and re-energize a loyal and dedicated
work team.

DESIGN SOLUTION:

By working closely with the Stevens leadership team, the SPACE designer was able to
realign workstations and update building finishes. She increased collaboration among
departments and improved the lighting throughout the building. This resulted in an
efficient, effective & beautiful work environment for the entire Stevens team.
