Rotary Club of Thane Aces (RCTA)
was chartered on 26th June 2019 with
23 members. Within just 4 months
of formation, the club undertook an
ambitious project – “Ride for Bharat Ke
Veer” with an aim to support the families
of heroes who lay their lives defending
our motherland. In addition, the project
has also focused on celebrating 100
years of Rotary in India by promoting the
idea of fellowship and to throw light on
the much-needed concept of fitness.

“The idea came up over a cup of coffee
with Sudarshan who wanted to go on a
bike expedition of Golden Quadrangle of
India. I suggested to take it on the Rotary
platform and doing it for a cause to make
it big. Various options were explored for
the social cause and finally, we chose to
support Martyr’s family. We approached
our DG Dr. Mohan, ROW’s Narendra
Rao and H.V. Kumar - who has a deep
knowledge of all highways in India. Over

The event is not over until the funds reach the Martyrs Families, which is planned for June

& Friendship of Inner Wheel This was the favorite quote of DG Kishore Jobalia
District 314 was held at Taj (1992-93) when I was a Club President of Rotary
Lands End, Bandra on 10th Club of Ulhasnagar. Our DG had planned a Jaipur
Jan 2020 which is also the Foot Camp – a District Project – with 7 centers all
International Inner Wheel over the district to honor the visit of RI President Cliff
Day. The Chief Guest for the conference was Association Dochtermann. It was a very ambitious project - to give
President Mamta Gupta. Dr Swaroop Sampat graced the 1500 Jaipur Foot and Calipers to the needy. It was
occasion as Guest of Honour. a fortnight long project. Our Club was given to host
one of the 7 camps - at Ulhasnagar. On the first day of
Upcoming Events the camp, DG Kishore went around the district to visit
camp sites. The turnout was meager on most Centers

coming to the camp sites.

whom she thought of as her benefactor. Suddenly
January tears began to run down the cheeks of DG Kishore.
That – my friends- was my Rotary Moment!
