Prancing Pony Gifts

I have been crafting for over 20 years,
and I love to make signs and home decor
gift items. I am also able to personalize
them for special occasions. It gives me
such joy to see people buying my signs
as a gift to themselves or others!!

Woodshop Drum Co

Born and raised in Nanoose Bay, Woodshop Drum Co. was created in 2016 when I,
like many drummers was searching for my own unique sound. After playing many
different snare drums, I realized I needed to build my own custom drum to
achieve that goal. My inspiration comes from my love of playing the drums for
25+ years, the desire of finding that specific sound, and my passion for our family
business in the forest industry. I have dedicated many hours researching beautiful
exotic hard woods from all over the world, and how to create different tones using
these various woods. I have used my creations when playing live music, in the
studio for recordings, and have received positive feedback from other local drum-
mers who have used them. I am constantly working on my own projects and hav-
ing an inventory of snare drums for sale. I am looking forward to working with
other musicians, creating that specific sound that inspires their own music. To
date, I have worked with wood from various parts of North and South America,
Australia and Africa. Each drum shell not only visually showcases a beautiful piece
of art, but creates an individual distinct tone.

G&L’s Fabulously Funky Creations

Our work is inspired by the natural beauty and magic surrounding us
here on Vancouver Island. We want to be able to provide pieces that
are unique, interesting, one of a kind creations and affordable.
We have added pieces that utilize
the idea of upcycling or repurpos-
ing of old items, turning them into
vibrant, one of a kind pieces.
Giving them a new life. We love
the challenge of pairing vintage
items with natural finds, creating
new and innovative pieces. Our
work is one project at a time
process, ensuring that every
creation completed is an individ-
ual, one of a kind piece to enjoy.

Nancy Photo Art

Nancy Morgantini is an artist/
photographer based in Saltair, BC.

A native Californian, brought up in
Alberta, since 2008 Nancy is
happy to call Vancouver Island
“home”.

Nancy has always dreamt of creat-
ing, through the magic of photog-
raphy and computer technology,
visually pleasing artwork that
people can relate to.

The photo art that Nancy creates
is inspired by the colour and
beauty of what we see in our eve-
ryday life. It could be a flower in a
field, a West Coast seascape, or a
balcony in an old town.

Nancy’s creative process begins
with her photograph. The final im-
age or work printed on canvas is
the result of hours of creative ef-
fort with digital tools.

Nancy has been successful in both
the Sooke and the Sidney juried
Fine Art shows, and exhibited at
the juried Cowichan Valley Fine
Arts “Best of the Best” Show.
Nancy’s art has been also dis-
played at the Greater Victoria Arts
Council shows, Ladysmith Arts on
the Avenue, Chemainus Rainforest
Gallery, Comox Nautical Days, and
the Ladysmith Waterfront Gallery.

Nancy is a member of the Ladysmith Cam- www.nancyphotoart.com
era Club, Ladysmith Arts Council, the
Cowichan Valley Arts Council and the Com-
munity Arts Council of Greater Victoria.

HEART & HEARTH

I create a variety of handmade gifts with a focus on eco-friendly and sus-
tainable products. I primarily sell beeswax food wraps, reusable produce
bags, stainless steel straw sets and reusable gift bags. I have enjoyed
sewing my entire life and always hoped to use my love of fabric for some-
thing "bigger". I found the wraps commercially and loved the idea of my
treasured fabrics becoming something purposeful. As a mother of four
children I understand the importance of leaving the world better than we
found it and hope my products can make a small difference. I still sew,
and use every scrap to ensure very little is wasted. I package my items
with plantable wild-flower seed paper so it is FUNCTIONAL waste.

Hello Yellow

At the heart of Hello Yellow
Canary lays a celebration of
the Pacific Northwest wings,
trees, fins and seas. Danielle's
illustrations are often inspired
by a particular plant or animal,
or some lovely combination of
the two. "Meanings" or
metaphors are often incorpo-
rated into her drawings, but
she hopes you'll enjoy them for
your own reasons..
As a lover of puns and general
wordplay, Danielle's line of
greeting cards, buttons, and
stickers serve as an outlet for

the stranger parts of her brain. These
items are designed to make you smile
with your favourite people.
All of Hello Yellow Canary's products
are lovingly locally made in Victoria and
Vancouver.

Alda Saunders

As an artist practicing in several media on Vancouver Island, BC,
I will be showing hand fabricated, sterling silver jewellery with

radiant gemstones or rich lampworked beads. My love of colour
is evident in the kiln-fused glass dishes and jewellery, which are a
related medium. Art and craft join together in my work.
