USING EXAM.NET

ARABIC PLACEMENT TEST
(BATCH 3)

Sem 1, 2020/2021

HOW DO YOU ANSWER YOUR
ARABIC PLACEMENT TEST (APT)

THROUGH EXAM.NET?

A short briefing & exam key will be given when you join Google Meet on
the day of the exam.

Once you got the exam key,
go to https://exam.net using your laptop/

desktop computer.

Make sure Google Meet in your smartphone
is still open & we can see your face
throughout the exam.

Join as a student & enter exam key

Enter the details & Click ‘Fetch the Exam’

Enter your first name, e.g.: Fatimah
Enter your last name, e.g.: Hussain

Enter your email address
Enter your phone no.

Enter your student ID (matric no.)

Click ‘begin
exam’ to start.

Wait for the exam
to be opened

You will get this pop up message as a reminder not to leave the
exam window. Click ‘request unlock’ to proceed.

Click ‘request
unlock’

Kindly be reminded that once the exam began, you CANNOT
leave exam.net. If you do so, it will be considered as an

attempt to cheat & you will be locked out from the exam.

What can cause a student lock-out on Exam.net?

1- Attempt to leave exam.net
2- The device enter a sleep mode.
3- Screen saver being displayed during inactivity
(It is recommended that you extend the time before the
screen saver starts during inactivity).
4- Pop up notification from your laptop/ computer.

5- On-screen keyboard

This pop up message will appear when you
have been locked out. To resume the exam,
explain the cause of the locked out & click

request unlock. If your explanation is
accepted, you will be unlocked and allowed

to resume the exam.

Kindly be reminded that your excuses will be
accepted up to 3 times only.

HOW TO WRITE THE ANSWERS?

You have 2 options:

Handwriting > scan > upload to Exam.net
OR

Type the answer directly on Exam.net
(not recommended)

OPTION 1

Write the answers on
blank papers > Click
‘scan work’ > scan
the papers > upload &

submit.

(Kindly refer to the
next slide for further

instructions)

➔You can write your answers on multiple papers &
upload it one by one.

➔DO NOT wait until last minute to do the scanning &
uploading.

➔Make sure your handwriting & the photos are clear
enough for us to read. Please use pen instead of pencil.
➔Write down page no., it will help you to arrange which

one to upload first.
➔Make sure your INTERNET CONNECTION is strong

enough to avoid any disruption.

OPTION 2

Type the answer directly
here. You must have

Arabic keyboard to use
this option. DO NOT use
on-screen keyboard, it

will cause a lock-out.

submit your paper.

here in the writing

area (either typing or
uploaded) before you

click ‘submit exam’
