LAVENDER GARDEN
Lavender Garden is one of the most talked about tourist attractions in Cameron
Highlands. Pay for entrance ticket to adults RM15 and to kids RM 10 (price as per may
2021) and you get to enjoy the scene of beautiful Hokkaido lavender and Mona
Lavender farm in super small scale. A little similar to Lavender Cottage in Xinshe,
Taiwan too, with plenty of room of improvement if we were to compare.
AGROTECHNOLOGY
PARK MARDI
Agrotechnology Park Mardi is an agricultural research station at Tanah Rata, managed by
Malaysia Agriculture Research and Development Institute (MARDI) and open to public.
Within the 42-hectare expanse of the park, visitors may explore various flower gardens,
crop houses, plant nurseries, farmlands and even a small tea plantation. Flowers, fruits and
vegetables of temperate origin are mostly cultivated here.
These include 40 varieties of roses, ten types of strawberries, over 100 citrus fruits,
anthuriums, apples, grapes and persimmons. To get to the park, take the slip road at right
behind Freesia Bus Terminal at town, then follow it until the signboard to MARDI appears
at left. Open daily except Tuesdays, an entrance fee is charged at the gate RM5 (adults),
RM2 (kids) and RM2 (senior citizens) and for school students got other price.
BUTTERFLY FARM
Butterfly Farm is a tourist attraction at Kea
Farm in Brinchang - a live display of
butterflies, insects and animals just
likeButterfly Garden next door. The
complex also houses a cafe, souvenir shop
and Chinese steamboat restaurant with a
small parking lot to accommodate visitors.
Inside the farm, visitors may also explore a
flower garden and feed domesticated
animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs and
ducks. Open daily (8pm-5.30pm), a ticket
fee is charged per adult/child.
