Olver is our special guest preacher on the Second Sunday after the Epiphany. He preaches at the 7:30 a.m. and the 9:00 a.m. services in the Church. Explore the Jewish Roots of Christian Worship with Fr. Olver during the Rector’s Forum. Fr. Olver is the Executive Director and Publisher of the Living Church Foundation. A priest for more than 18 years, he was the assistant rector at Church of the Incarnation, Dallas (2006-13) and has served widely in the Episcopal Church in diocesan, national, and international capacities. Like the eighth editor of The Living Church, H. Boone Porter, Fr. Olver is a liturgical scholar who takes up this post after having served as a professor at Nashotah House Theological Seminary for nearly a decade (2014-23). His wife, Kristen, is a practicing therapist. They were married in 2001 and have two children. He is a non-stipdendiary assistant priest at Zion Episcopal Church in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, which he attends with his family. Nicky and Sila Lee, authors of The Marriage Book, developed The Marriage Course for couples looking for practical support to strengthen their relationship. The course is designed to help couples build strong foundations, learn to communicate more effectively and resolve differences well. Courses are run in various locations, including churches, homes and cafés, all around the globe. What can we expect? 1. EAT TOGETHER Each session begins with couples eating together. This gives guests a chance to unwind and connect before the session’s episode. It also helps to create the atmosphere of a date. 2. WATCH EPISODE The episodes are around 45 minutes in length, with breaks for conversations. Each episode explores a different topic through real experiences, expert insights, and relevant teaching. 3. TALK PRIVATELY Providing space for couples to have private, intimate conversations is a must for every course. It helps enable couples to engage openly and honestly throughout the session. The bond which God establishes in Baptism is indissoluble. We offer baptism on Sunday mornings four times a year during our 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Sunday services. The dates of Baptism on Sunday mornings are the First Sunday after the Epiphany, January 7; Easter Day at 6:45 a.m., March 31; the Day of Pentecost, May 19; and All Saints Sunday, November 3. Call our Rector’s assistant Liz Stewart today at (407) 599-4304. A member of our clergy will be delighted to prepare you or your children for Baptism right away. Confirmation is a sacramental rite by which those baptized as infants take on the promises of the Baptismal Covenant for themselves in the community of faith with the laying on of hands by the Bishop. Typically, Confirmation is offered once a year during our 11:15 a.m. Sunday service during the Bishop's annual visitation. Confirmation is offered for students in 8th grade and older. In addition, on Confirmation Sundays, those confirmed in other traditions are received into the Episcopal Church. Preparation for Confirmation and Reception begins soon. The Rt. Rev. YOUTH MISSION TRIP TO PUERTO RICO with All Saints Youth Ministry June 9-14, 2024 This trip is open to all High School students including rising 9th graders and graduating 12th graders. Join All Saints Youth Ministry for a 6-day, 5-night mission trip to Puerto Rico. We will serve alongside local churches and other non-profit organizations focused on alleviating the suffering associated with extensive poverty and repeated impacts from natural disasters. Family Choir participants sing familiar songs and hymns and add to the congregational singing. No experience is necessary.
