SPEAKER BIOS
JEFF BUTLER
Dallas, Texas
Jeff Butler is an author and workplace strategist who
explores human behavior within the working world. His
experience spans over 40 industries in 4 continents on how
different cultures and employees interact with each other.
He studies common threads of behavior in industries such as
IT professionals, underground utility workers, police officers
to clothing retail chains. In addition, companies like Google,
Amazon, John Deere, and Coldwell Banker.
As a researcher and practitioner, he also runs a consulting
company and a tech company, TrinityFix where he is able
to test his ideas in different workplace environments. His
ideas have made it to TEDx twice, appeared in dozens of
media outlets including two books on human behavior: The
Authentic Workplace and The Key To The New You. Currently,
he lives in Dallas, Texas as an out of place Californian.
BRIAN J. COURTNEY
RPLU, AAI
Vice President | The Safeguard Group | Media, PA
Brian Courtney began his career at the height of a difficult
insurance market. Working with a large regional insurance
broker, Brian served the healthcare industry in procuring
insurance coverage for tough-to-place risk.
Prior to joining The Safegard Group, Brian joined a large
national insurance brokerage firm where he gained
considerable experience in risk management serving the
needs of physicians groups, long-term care facilities, home
healthcare agencies and surgery centers.
Brian Courtney joined The Safegard Group, Inc. in April 2005
and currently serves as Healthcare Practice Leader for the
company. He is primarily responsible for the direction of risk
management services for his healthcare clientele.
Brian is a dynamic and engaging speaker that is unafraid
to speak on difficult subject matters that impact any
organization’s total cost of risk. His interactive approach
makes it easier for the audience to learn the subject matter
and to gain key takeaways to improve their business.

DON HARKEY
Don Harkey is sought-after for his business insights in
multiple industries. As a former engineer, Don brings a
unique perspective to every organization he works with;
he views every business as a machine and that machine
is perfectly designed to get the results that it is currently
getting. As the CEO of People Centric, Don loves to help
people adjust their machine to produce better results.
He is highly strategic, process driven, and an engaging
Keynote Speaker.
AARON HAJART
MS, ATC, FACHE
New Brunswick, NJ
Aaron F. Hajart currently serves as Southern Region SVP
of Service Line and Practice Integration for RWJBarnabas
Health, the largest academic healthcare system in New
Jersey. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer
and Senior Vice President for Strategy and Innovation
at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. Prior to joining
Bergen New Bridge, Aaron served as the Assistant Dean
for Clinical Strategy and Development at Rutgers New
Jersey Medical School.
Aaron completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic
Training from Hardin-Simmons University and went on
to receive his Master’s Degree in Human Relations in
Business at Amberton University. He maintains his Board
Certification in Athletic Training and is a Fellow of the
American College of Healthcare Executives.
Aaron also serves on the Board of Directors of the
Athletic Trainers in Physician Practice Society.

BJ MAACK
Little Rock, Arkansas
BJ Maack is an Area Director for enovis’ (formerly DJO) DME
segment. He is also an Athletic Trainer who remains passionate
about equipping ATs to grow as leaders in a variety of settings. BJ
focuses on leveraging his clinical skill set and experience in the
orthopedic DME market. He has cultivated strengths in leadership,
strategic planning, relationships, and project implementation
in the contexts of his roles within a global DME company, as an
entrepreneur and within physician offices. BJ’s specialties include
orthopedic DME, athletic training, sports medicine, sports rehab
and speed/strength/agility work.
JIM REIDY
MS, LAT, ATC
Bethlehem, PA
Jim Reidy serves as the Athletic Training Residency Program
Director within the CAATE accredited program in orthopedics at
St. Luke’s University Health Network in Bethlehem, PA. He is also
the Program Manager for the East Region for St. Luke’s Sports
Medicine that encompasses 12 School Districts, 8 colleges, and
oversight of Athletic Trainers practicing within physician practice.
Jim earned his bachelor of science in Athletic Training from
Canisius College in Buffalo, NY and went on to obtain his master’s
degree from Ithaca College. He has previously worked as an
Athletic Trainer for Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Teaneck
Campus in NJ and provided Athletic Training services for OAA
Orthopaedic Specialists and Lehigh Valley Health Network.
Jim has worked as an educator over his career and continues
to serve as the Program Manager for the Sports Medicine and
Rehabilitation Sciences Program at Northampton Community
College and as a faculty member within the Prevention and
Wellness Residency Program at St. Luke’s. He currently serves as
a CAATE peer reviewer and is a member of the CAATE Residency
and Fellowship Standards Committee, CAATE Review Committee,
CAATE Education Committee, CAATE Standards Committee, and
the AATE Workgroup Selection Committee. Jim is also an active
member of the Athletic Trainers in Physician Practice Society.

KENDALL ROBINSON
MS, LAT, ATC
Chantilly, VA
Kendall Robinson joined Inova Sports Medicine in August
2019 as a clinical athletic trainer and has been state
licensed and board certified since 2014. She is trained in
the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal
conditions, and works alongside the orthopedic surgeons
at Inova Sports Medicine to treat a range of athletes and
patients.
Kendall earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic
Training from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.
She earned her Master of Science degree in Athletic
Training from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA.
While completing her master’s degree, Kendall served as a
graduate assistant athletic trainer at the College of William
and Mary, where she worked with both men’s and women’s
gymnastics programs as well as the football program.
After completing her master’s degree, Kendall worked
as an associate athletic trainer for Fairfax County Public
Schools and in an orthopedic practice as a DME Surgical
Coordinator. She then decided to pursue an athletic
training residency program to allow her to advance her
skills in musculoskeletal evaluation and diagnosis. Kendall
completed the St. Luke’s Sports Medicine Athletic Training
residency program in Boise, ID. Her research and her work
has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals.
She also has presented at state, regional and national
conferences.
Kendall is a Northern Virginia native and currently resides in
Chantilly, VA. She enjoys spending her free time watching
sports, skiing, cycling and spending time with friends and
family. Kendall also enjoys volunteering in the community
and has worked with the American Red Cross Disaster
Response Team, LIMBitless Challenge and various other
organizations.

MAUREEN RUDDY
FACHE
Managing Director, Client Operations | Curi Advisory
Maureen Ruddy is the Managing Director of Client
Operations with Curi Advisory. Prior to Curi, Maureen
served as the Regional Vice President of Operations for
Arrowlytics, a practice analytics tool that is now part of
Curi Advisory and helps practices pull their data from
various sources into a single platform for total practice
insight. She also served as the former CAO and COO at
OrthoVirginia, prior to time with Arrowlytics and following
15 years working in hospital administration. Maureen
received her master’s degree in health administration
from Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College
of Virginia and her BA from the University of Virginia.
