12 ET- STAR ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES SERVES MORE AFRICAN COUNTRIES THAN ANY OTHER CARRIER Just five African countries have flights to 25+ others across the vast continent. Ethiopia is the best linked thanks to Ethiopian Airlines. "No other continent has as many countries as Africa," opened Abderahmane Berthe, Secretary General of the African Airlines Association, at CONNECT Route Development Forum in Morocco. By geographic area, Africa is bigger than the USA, Europe, and China combined. Africa has 54 countries, raising an obvious question. Given the size and the myriad of enormous problems affecting its aviation development, including the less discussed issue of visas, how many African countries have flights to other nations across the continent? Ethiopia has flights to 38 other African countries, each served by Ethiopian Airlines, Africa's biggest carrier. OAG indicates that the Star Alliance member has more flights to Somalia than anywhere else, while Benin has the least. Source: https://simpleflying.com/

17 ET- STAR LEARNING AND MOTIVATION COLLABORATION SKILLS FOR THE WORKPLACE Collaboration and teamwork are all about bringing together different minds and different perspectives to achieve a common goal. Collaboration is more than just meeting with your team to work independently on a divided project, but instead a process that is honed through the development of soft skills. Keep reading to find out more about our top five effective collaboration skills for the workplace! TOP 5 EFFECTIVE COLLABORATION SKILLS: 1. COMMUNICATION Communication is the key to collaboration. Learning how to express yourself and receive others respectfully are critical to the flow of a project. You must understand the strengths and weaknesses of your communication style, as well as how others communicate. With good communication, you can foster a welcoming and validating atmosphere that promotes good collaboration. 2. OPEN-MINDEDNESS Collaboration is about perspective and often the meshing of different ones to create a new idea. Therefore, openmindedness is a critical component. You must be open and willing to listen to those around you. Resistance and stubbornness cause creative thought to stall, bringing the collaboration process to a halt. Even if you disagree with an idea, learn to be open-minded as one of your effective collaboration skills. 3. TRUST No team can be effective without trust between each member. Remember that the people you are working with are trying to achieve the same goal as you. Everyone has the need to feel safe through supportive environments and constructive feedback. 4. FLEXIBILITY No project goes off without a hitch. Whether it’s an internal problem or a logistical shift, remaining flexible when things change is vital. Work on pushing forward and collaborating with others to get the project back on track instead of getting frustrated. Before a project begins, make sure you understand team roles and the goal so that if you do hit a bump in the road, you can find another path to get back on track as a team. 5. POSITIVITY One of the best ways to foster efficiency and success in a collaborative environment is by promoting positivity. The more positive you are, the greater the positivity will be while collaborating with others. Positivity impacts all these other effective collaboration skills by forming trust between members, improving communication, and helping you stay open-minded and flexible. Even if a project goes poorly, remaining positive and learning from your mistakes can help the process be more successful in the future. The more aware we become of ourselves and others in a collaborative environment, the more successful the process. Overall successful collaboration leads to more creativity and efficiency as a unit. Remember these top five effective collaboration skills when working with a team and see for yourself how the process improves! Source: Staff/Force Personnel Service ( https://staff-force.com)
