Trollbeads bracelets are sized in centimetres. Your wrist measurement is the size of the required bracelet. The listed lengths indicate the total length of the bracelet with a lock attached, so the chain itself is 2cm shorter than indicated. For example, if you require a 20cm bracelet, choose '20cm'. Each piece of Trollbeads jewellery is handcrafted from the highest quality materials, including Sterling Silver, 18K Gold and Italian Murano glass. Protecting your Trollbeads Trollbeads jewellery is unique and precious and if treated with care, your jewellery will last a lifetime. We recommend that you remove your Trollbeads jewellery before going to bed or taking part in physical activity. Rings should be removed when washing your hands. Avoid immersing beads in water as this may cause damage to the resin settings of the stones and pearls. Do not expose your jewellery to chlorine, chemicals or salt water as this will dull the appearance. Avoid contact with cosmetics, creams and perfumes as these products often contain chemicals that can adversely affect the beads. When not in use, your Trollbeads jewellery should be stored separately in an air-tight, protective case to prevent oxidisation. Silver When not in use, your Trollbeads silver jewellery should be stored separately in an air-tight, protective case or jewellery box to prevent further oxidisation. If you wear silver beads on your gold chain, please be aware that the silver can deposit a slight tarnish. This can be easily removed by gently buffing the chain with a silver-polishing cloth. This will also ensure your Trollbeads jewellery maintains a shiny appearance. Glass Beads Each Trollbeads glass bead is a little work of art; every bead has been lovingly handcrafted and will therefore contain slight variations in colour, size, shape and design. To clean your glass Trollbeads we advise gentle buffing with a soft lint-free cloth. Do not use any commercial cleaning products or fluids as these can contain peroxide and bleach that will damage your beads. Avoid immersing beads in water as this may cause damage to the resin settings of the stones and pearls. Do not expose to chlorine, chemicals or salt water and avoid contact with cosmetics, creams and perfumes as these products often contain chemicals that can adversely affect the beads. Stones and Pearls Trollbeads stones are genuine, natural materials and therefore each stone is unique. The stones vary in colour and have unique characteristics and features that show their great age and natural beauty. Trollbeads pearls are cultured freshwater pearls. Copper Copper is a versatile metal that reacts to your body when worn and becomes more beautiful and personal with time. To clean your copper jewellery, wash occasionally with lukewarm, soapy water and dry with a soft cloth. You can also clean using a little copper polish on a soft cloth. When not in use, your Trollbeads copper jewellery should be stored separately in an air-tight, protective case to prevent oxidisation. If your copper jewellery should tarnish, clean it using a combination of salt and vinegar; pour a little vinegar and salt over the copper, rub it into the metal and keep rubbing to remove any tarnishing and grime. Rinse off with water and rub dry with a soft cloth. Alternatively, cut a lemon in half, add a little salt to the lemon and rub over the copper until all tarnish is removed. Rinse with water and dry with a soft cloth. Leather Genuine leather is a natural material that may stretch over time. Avoid immersing leather products in water and do not expose to chlorine, chemicals or salt water. Bracelets Visit a Trollbeads stockist for a personal bracelet fitting or carefully follow our size guide to ensure your jewellery fits correctly and there is enough slack for new beads to be added without putting pressure on the clasp. If your bracelet is too tight, it may force the clasp to open and beads could be lost. As an added precaution, we recommend that you have a Spacer or Safety Chain fitted on your bracelet. We strongly recommend for full and heavy bracelets and necklaces that the Basic Clasp is not chosen as it is more vulnerable than the larger, stronger clasps. Leather bracelets and bangles should be used with a maximum of three beads. Storage When not in use, your Trollbeads jewellery should be stored separately in an air-tight, protective case to prevent your jewellery from tarnishing and to avoid scratches.
