A Message from Chairperson Annette Larabee
As the Connecticut River Valley Chamber of Commerce
celebrates its first year, I am honored to have served as
its Chairperson. In 2016, the Chamber’s amazing staff,
with help from our tremendous community volunteers,
successfully promoted Glastonbury & East Hartford
and helped our business owners and leaders become
more connected. We hosted Business after Hours, leads
groups, educational speakers, networking groups, and
community events. We welcomed new businesses to
our towns, we encouraged physical and mental health
& fitness, we ran, we donated, we traveled, we brought
music to our waterfront and Shark Tanks to our school.
In 2017, we are excited to continue to make our community and our region a place
that attracts residents, visitors and investors. In addition to our successful events
in 2016, we are excited to bring you Leadercast, several new leads groups, and
publish a Membership Directory. We will continue to put on events that promote our
communities like our Apple Harvest Festival and Farm & Folk Festival and the Global
Running Day 5K. We are thankful for our Members, our talented Board of
Directors, our inspiring Board of Trustees and our enthusiastic Ambassadors. I am
proud to have the opportunity to Chair this successful Chamber in its second year.
