WARM UP:

v Two Laps around the track

v Arm Stretches: 15 secs each (Left & Right Arm)
- Tricep Stretch
- Chest Stretch
- Bicep Stretch

v Leg Stretches: 15 secs each (Left & Right Leg)
- Quad Stretch
- Hip Flexor Stretch
- Calf Stretch

JUMP-A-HOOP:

Instructions: Players will lay out as many hula hoops as there are people in a
circle, touching rim to rim, on the floor. Each player will stand inside a hoop.
When the music starts, players will jump for the hoop in front of them. When the
music stops, players will freeze. After every start and stop, players will need to
space the hoops further and further apart until only one player can make the
distance to jump into the hoop in front of them.

Objective: To be the last person standing in a Hula Hoop

Equipment: Hula Hoop

Key Skills: Be able to jump and maintain balance

Space requirement: Full court

Time required: 12 mins

HALF COURT RELAY RACE:

Instructions: Divide the players into equal teams of two. Assemble obstacle
course by forming 6 hula hoops in a hopscotch pattern on both sides Infront of
players. Lay out jump ropes in front of the hula hoops. Place a bean bag egg
about 4 feet away from the jump ropes. Teams will form a single file line on both
sides, behind the obstacle course. When the whistle is blown players will have to
complete each task. Hop through the hula hopscotch, complete 5 jumps with the
jump rope, and lastly toss 3 bags into the bean bag egg. The player will run to
get the bean bags out of the egg and run back to their team member so that
they can begin.

Objective: To be the first team with every member to complete full obstacle
course.

Equipment: Hula Hoops, jump ropes, bean bags, bean bag egg

Key Skills: Be able to jump, balance, count, and throw.

Space requirement: Half court

Time required: 15 mins

RED LIGHT:

Instructions: Divide the group into two equal teams and choose two game
masters to give the commands. The game masters will stand at the opposite end
of the court. The remaining players will stay back and space an arms length
apart. The participants will set themselves up on a trolley any way they desire.
When the game master yells green, they must push themselves forward but when
they yell red they must stop immediately. The first team with the most players on
the opposite side wins.

Objective: To be the first team to reach the opposite side.

Equipment: rolling trolleys

Key Skills: be able to carry your own body weight and listen to given commands

Space requirement: full court

Time required: 15 mins

HUMAN HORSESHOE:

Instructions: Select two people to stand in place for the game. Other players will
create a single file line. Each player in the line, will have 3 big hula hoops. The
two selected players will line an arms length apart in front of the players in the
line. The players in the line will be given 20 seconds to toss their hula hoops
around either of the two targets in front of them.
Objective: To be the first person to toss every hula hoop around given targets.
Equipment: hula hoops
Key Skills: be able to throw and aim
Space requirement: Half court
Time required: 15 mins

CARTWHEEL SPRINT:

Instructions: Place a jump rope at the mid section of the court, long ways. A few
feet away from the jump rope, place a hula hoop. Players will line up and once
the whistle blows each person will take turns doing 3 cartwheels. After the
cartwheels, the player will dash off as fast as they can until they reach the jump
rope. Once they reach the jump rope, players will stay behind and try to jump
into the hula hoop in front of it.

Objective: Be able to complete given task and jump in the hula hoop.

Equipment: hula hoops and jump rope

Key Skills: be able to do a cartwheel, run, and jump.

Space requirement: full court

Time required: 20 mins

SNOWMAN:

Instructions: Select two players to be the “Snowman”. The Snowmen will be
equipped with soft balls to aim at remaining players. Once the music starts,
players will begin to run. If the player is hit by a ball, they must stop and freeze.
Objective: Don’t get hit with a ball. Be the last player standing

Key Skills: be able to run and throw.
Space requirement: full court
Time required: 20 mins

HOW MANY MINUTES?:

Instructions: Players will be divided into equal teams of three to compete head
on with other opponents. There will be 3 stations. Stations A, B, and C. Station A
will be for shooting 3 basketballs. Station B for hula hooping 20 times, and Station
C for jumping rope 15 times. Each team will be at a station. Each member on the
team will have to complete the task at the station they are placed in a certain
amount of time. After each member completes the task from each station, the
teams will rotate between station A, B, and C. Once every team has reached
every station, a game score will be determined. The team who completed each
task in the least amount of time wins.

Objective: Be the team to complete each task in the least amount of time.

Equipment: Basketballs, jump ropes, and hula hoops.

Key Skills: be able to jump, shoot, and hula hoop.

Space requirement: half court

Time required: 25 mins

NINJA:

Instructions: Players will line up in a circle a little more than an elbows length
apart. Select a player to start the game off. Each player will strike a pose or
position. Once everyone is set, the first player must aim for the back of
opponent's hand (either on the right or left), in one movement and freeze in that
position. If the player is successful in hitting the back of opponent's hand, the
opponent must tuck that hand in the back of him/her or place that hand on their
stomach. It is now the opponents turn to aim for the next person to the opposite
side of him/her. If a player gets both back of their hands hit, they are out. The
pattern will repeat until there is only one player standing.

Objective: Be the last player standing.

Equipment: N/A

Key Skills: Speed, and focus.

Space requirement: half court

Time required: 20 mins

HOP, HOP, 123:

Instructions: Players will be divided into 2 equal teams. One game master will be
selected to give the commands. The players of each team will line up in a single
file line. The game master will stand in the middle of the two teams on the
opposite side. Each player on both teams will be given a bean bag. When the
game master yells “jog” the first person in line on both teams must jog to the
game master. When the game master yells “hop” each player must begin to hop
on one leg the rest of the way until they reach the game master. Once they
reach the end, they will drop the bean bag on the floor to signal the next player
to get ready. If any player lose their balance, they must start over.

Objective: Be the first team with all members to the opposite side.

Equipment: bean bags

Key Skills: be able to run, hop, and balance on one leg.

Space requirement: half court

Time required: 20 mins

HOT POTATO:

Instructions: Players will scatter out around the court. One player will be given a
bean bag. When the music plays, the player with the bean bag will throw it to
whoever they choose. The bean bag will be tossed around quickly until the
music stops. Once the music stops, the player holding the bean bag will be out.
The process will be repeated until there is only one player left.

Objective: Be the last player standing

Equipment: bean bag

Key Skills: be able to throw and catch.

Space requirement: half court

Time required: 20 mins

MONKEY IN THE MIDDLE:

Instructions: Players will divide into 2 equal teams. One team will be in the
middle and the other team will divide between the front and back of the team in
the middle. The players from the team on the opposite sides will throw the ball
back and forth to each other, avoiding the team in the middle. The team in the
middle will try to stop the ball from reaching the other side. If the team in the
middle catches the ball or knocks it down, they will win and switch positions with
the throwing team.

Objective: Be the team to catch the ball in the least amount of time

Equipment: balls

Key Skills: be able to throw and catch.

Space requirement: half court

Time required: 25 mins

CAPTURE THE FLAG:

Instructions: Players will divide into 2 equal teams. Each team member will wear
a flag belt. One team will be on one side of the court and the other team will be
on the opposite side of the court. Once the whistle is blown the members of
each team will charge at each other. The opponents will need to grab the flags
off the opposite team in one pass. Once flags are obtained, the teams will
continue to run to the opposite side. Which ever team makes it to the
opponent’s side first, with the most flags will win the game.

Objective: Be the team with the most amount of flags

Equipment: flag belts

Key Skills: be able to run fast and quickly dodge.

Space requirement: full court

Time required: 20 mins
