CRITICAL THINKING
GRADUATE ATTRIBUTE
Critical thinking is a skill that you can develop through
thinking openly, clearly, and coherently. Critical thinking
is a subset of three categories of thinking that include
reasoning, making judgments and decisions, and
problem solving. Solving a hard but common physics
problem with a multi-step algorithms as an example,
isn't critical thinking because you're relying on memory
to solve the problem. Creating a new algorithm, on the
other hand, requires critical thinking.
According to Bailin et al. (1999b), if one considers
what types of thinking an educator would regard not to
be critical thinking and what types of thinking are
critical thinking, one can conclude that educators
commonly interpret critical thinking to have at least
three characteristics.
It is done in order to make a decision about what to
think or do.
The individual doing the thinking is attempting to meet
adequacy and accuracy standards appropriate to the
thinking.
The thought meets the relevant requirements up to a
certain point.
In our daily lives, we use logical arguments to explain what
we perceive. A problem in a business project is solved when we
locate the root of the problem and gather enough facts to
verify it. It takes time and effort to master this method of
thinking. To become a great thinker, you need endeavour to
improve specific abilities.
There are 5 qualities of an exceptional critical thinker, fair-
minded which can accept others opinion, no personal
judgments, examining the reliability of their sources, self-aware
and rational, and excellent thinkers believe that mastering
efficiency is the key to a successful life. Critical thinking involves
