Rediscovering La Union...
Wandering in the Province of La Union would not be complete without visiting the prime
capital of the province, the City of San Fernando. Aside from its establishments operating
within the vicinity and its rich history, it is also known for its natural paradise, the La Union
Botanical and Zoological Garden.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government La Union Provincial Office (DILG LUPO)
in coordination with the DILG City of San Fernando and the City Government conducted a Tree-
Planting Activity on August 3, 2022. The Botanical and Zoological Garden is a 55-hectare site
located in the mountains of Barangay Cadaclan, City of San Fernando, La Union. It is a 30-minute
ride/ drive away from the city plaza. This is not the typical zoo as there are only a few caged
animals. These animals are closely monitored due to injury or sickness. Once they are healed, they
are released back in the wild.the animals are healed, they are released back in the wild. Fewer
