Singular nouns หมายถึง คานามรูปเอกพจนม์ ีเพียงหน่ึง ซ่ึงเป็นไดท้ ้งั คานามนบั ได้
และคานามนบั ไมไ่ ด้ มีไดเ้ พียงรูปเดียวนน่ั คือเอกพจน์

The Four Musician Friends
นกั ดนตรีและผองเพ่ือน

Once upon a time, there was a farm where there were four
friends working on and they were a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a
rooster. They were too old to work. The owner ignored them and
made them live in poor conditions with almost nothing to eat. The
four friends decided to go to a big city to live as musicians. On their
way to town they had to walk through a forest. It was already dark so
they decided to look for a place to stay for the night. The rooster saw
a light coming from a house, so they decided to take a look. Peeping
through the window, they saw a group of thieves having fun singing
and dancing. The four friend came up with a plan to scare away the
thieves. They would stand on each other’s shoulders, so they would
appear to be one tall, frightening, wild animal. They all screamed out
at the same time. Their voices were so loud and terrifying. The
thieves were so scared that they fled into the forest. After the thieves
ran away, each friend took a separate spot to rest. In the middle of
night, one thief decided to came back to sneak a look. He took them
fiery light from the cat’s eyes to be the light of a fire, so he went
closer and was scratched in the face by the startled cat. The thief ran
out, meaning in pain. On his way out he was bitten hard in the leg by
the dog. The donkey also kick him and the rooster crowed with all his

might; his voice was so loud and piercing, it sound like the devil’s
voice. The thief ran back to tell his group that he had been attacked by
a group of witches and he had almost lost his life their. All the thieves
were so scared so they dared not go back to that house again. Seeing
that the thieves would never come back to then house, the four friends
decided to live in that house. From then on, they lived happily
together as musicians ever after.

คอขนั เสียงแหลมราวกบั เสียงของปี ศาจ โจรวง่ิ กลบั ไปบอกพวกของตนวา่ ถูกแมม่ ดและปี ศาจรุมทาร้ายจน
แทบเอาชีวติ ไมร่ อด พวกโจรไดฟ้ ังกก็ ลวั จนไม่กลา้ กลบั ไปท่ีบา้ นหลงั น้นั อีก เมื่อส่ีสหายเห็นวา่ โจรไม่
