เพือ่ แสดงใหท้ ราบวา่ 'เป็นของใคร' หรือ 'แสดงความเป็นเจา้ ของ' การแสดงความเป็นเจา้ ของใน
ภาษาองั กฤษสามารถทาไดโ้ ดยการเติม ' + s และตามดว้ ยคานาม หากคานามที่ใชเ้ ป็ นคานามพหูพจน์
หรือลงทา้ ยดว้ ย s อยแู่ ลว้ ก็เพียงแค่เติม ' หลงั s เท่าน้นั

The Constant Tin Solider
ทหารดีบผุ ทู้ รหด

The one-legged tin solider constantly endured many
hindrances until he found the beautiful affinity. One upon a time, all
playthings were alive at night. A young boy was given 25 tin solider

on his birthday. Every solider stood strongly as if the real soldiers.
Even the last tin solider who had only one leg because there was not
enough tin. However, he was dignifiedly as the others. In the boy’s
room, the most attractive plaything was a young and pretty paper
dancer. She tiptoed gracefully on one leg. The tin solider gazed at her
and thought she was born for him. Late that night, the sit on a black
box to watch her. He fell in love with her and wanted to greet her.
Suddenly, a clock struck twelve. The lid of the box sprang up. A Jack-
in-the-box jump up and laughed. The one-legged tin solider was
thrown out of the window. In the next morning two homeless boys
picked the one-legged tin solider up and laid him on a paper boat. The
boat floated into a narrow dark drain. The tin solider was deeply
frightened. However, he stood bravely as if he was the real solider. A
water rat wanted to get the tool. It orders the driftwood to impede the
boat, but fail. The end of the drain was ahead. The current emptied
into a canal. Zoom…m! The tin solider sank into the water. A hungry
fish immediately swallowed him. Though it was dark, the tin solider

was not afraid. He kept thinking of the dancer all the time. After a
while a fisherman caught that fish and sold it at the market. A maid of
the boy who owned the 25 tin soldiers bought the fish to cook. She
was very surprised to see the one-legged tin solider. “It is the young
master’s, said she. The tin solider was very pleased to meet the dancer
again. She tenderly smiled at him. They silently looked at the each
other. One day, the boy accidentally pushed the one-legged tin solider
into the fire. The tin solider melted slowly. He tried to stand upright
and gazed at the dancer all the time. Suddenly, It was their first time
to stay closely with the other. Together they melted. Only the little tin
heart and the dancer’s silver tinsel remained side by side in the ashes.
