Case I: Missing person
Scenario 1 – A woman runs around and screams with tears.
Police officer: Excuse me, what happened?
Foreigner: I can’t find my son anywhere!!!!! Please help me!!!
Police officer: Not to worry, I am here to help now. Can you please describe him?
Foreigner: He is 3 years old. He is wearing grey trousers and white tͲshirt.
I think he has a teddy bear with him. I don’t know what to do now.
Police officer: Slow down. Where did you last see him?
Foreigner: I was buying books at Asia Book and he was looking at some books
as well and when I turned around he was not there.
Police officer: Is Asia Book far from here?
Foreigner: 2 floors up.
Police officer: Okay, Can you please go wait over there in case he comes back?
I will start looking for him. What can I call him?
Foreigner: His name is Edward.
Police officer: Okay, I will start looking now.

Scenario 2 – A girl cries in front of Toys R us.
Police officer: Hi, what are you doing here? I am a police
officer. I can help you.
A girl: I want my mommy … my mommy.
Police officer: Well, where is your mommy?
A girl: I don’t know … mommy mommy
Police officer: Slow down. I will help you find her. Can you
tell me about your mommy? What’s her
name?
A girl: Susan .. where is mommy?
Police officer: Can you tell me your name? How old are
you?
A girl: Emmy .. I am 6 years old.
Police officer: Okay, let’s go looking for your mommy. I
will take you to information center to call
for your mommy.

Scenario 3 – A tourist walks to police box.
Police officer: Hi, what can I do for you?
Foreigner: I lost my bag.
Police officer: I’m sorry to hear that. Where did you lose it?
Foreigner: Starbucks, ThongͲlo
Police officer: What were in it?
Foreigner: I have a passport, and IPad.
Police officer: May I have your name?
Foreigner: Adrien Dupont.
Police officer: Where is your nationality?
Foreigner: French, from Nice.
Police officer: Let me make sure I got this right. You lost your bag at Starbucks
coffee shop at ThongͲlo branch. There were IPad and a passport.
Your name is Adrien Dupont.
Foreigner: Yeah!
Police officer: Did you ask someone there?
Foreigner: Yes I asked everyone. No one saw it.
Police officer: You need to make a report at the police station and I will inform
colleague. Do you know how to get there?
Foreigner: No. I just got here 2 days.
Police officer: Okay, let me get a taxi for you.

Scenario 4 – A group of boys run towards a police officer and pulls his hands.
Police officer: Slow down! Slow down! Tell me what’s wrong?
Boys (all voices): Officer, his scooter got stolen!!!!!
Police officer: Slow down I can’t understand all of you. Speak to me in 1 voice
please.
Boys1(all voices): His scooter got stolen!!!!!!!!! His new scooter mama just
bought for him.
Police officer: His? Whose scooter?
Boys3(all voices): Mine!!!! You gotta help me!!!! Mama will kill me.
Police officer: Slow down. I will help you. Give me more details.
Boys3(all voices): It was a new scooter. Green color. Ben10 on it.
Police officer: Okay, Green and Ben10. Did you suspect anyone?
Boys 1 (all voices): Billy, he is our enemy. He was there too.
Police officer: Who is Billy? Where is he now?
Foreigner: Yeah!
Police officer: Did you ask someone there?
Boys3(all voices): Billy is my classmate but we hate each other. He always steals
my chocolate!!!!!
Police officer: Let’s go find Billy then.

Case III: Asking for directions
Scenario 3 – 2 Asian guys are looking at a map and shouting at each other.
Police officer: Hi, do you need any help?
Guy 1: We were supposed to meet a friend at Happy coffee shop and
now we are lost.
Police officer: Slow down. No need to argue at each other.
Guy 2: He is the one who got me late. He said we had to come this way.
Police officer: Okay, but you are not on the right direction.
Guy 2: I know!!! He led me here. We are late now.
Police officer: Let me rephrase. You have to meet your friend at Happy coffee shop.
Guy 1: Last time I came here I took this route but I don’t know why it’s
not correct.
Police officer: It’s because you forgot to turn right at the last soi.
Guy 1: So I need to walk back.
Police officer: No need. You can go this way as well. Let me show you the way.
Not to worry. Please walk to Tops supermarket and turn left then
you will see a small road. You will see a bookstore. The coffee
shop is behind it.
Guy 1: Thanks, officer

Scenario 4 – An old lady walks around at the park looking upset.
Police officer: Good morning, do you need any help?
Old lady: I want to go to BTS station but no one can help me. They don’t
talk to me.
Police officer: I see. May be they cannot speak English. I’m sorry for that.
Old lady: I am old! At least they should care!
Police officer: I understand but don’t take it personal. I am here now.
Old lady: Will you take me there?
Police officer: I am on duty. I can’t take your there but I will show you the
way. It’s not far.
Old lady: Are you sure? How come it seems far to me?
Police officer: Once you make it to the main gate, it will take only 5 minutes
to get to BTS station.
Old lady: That sounds okay to me.
Police officer: Let me take you to main gate. Please walk with me.
Old lady: Thanks a lot.
Police officer: When you leave the main gate. You just turn right and walk
straight for 5 minutes you will see BTS station on your left.

Scenario 1 – A man puts a black box under a car.
Police officer: Excuse me, may I ask what you just put it there?
A man: Put what?
Police officer: I saw you put a box under the car. Please tell me what it is?
A man: Nothing!
Police officer: If you refuse to tell me. Please step back and put your hands on
your head.
A man: Why? What did I do?
Police officer: Please follow my instruction. Do it now!
Scenario 2 – A witness sees a grey bag at a tree near a park.
A witness: Officer!!! Officer!!! Come here now!!!
Police officer: Slow down .. what is it?
A witness: I saw someone placed a grey bag over there. It looks weird. He
ran away.
Police officer: Where? Did you see it by yourself? What does it look like?
A witness: Yes. Yes. Come here now!!! Look there!!! A grey bag. I think it’s
a bomb.
Police officer: Do go closer. Please show me the direction. I will inform my
partner now.

A witness: I saw someone placed a grey bag over there. It looks weird. He
ran away.
Police officer: Where?
A witness: Over there. It’s near the coconut tree.
Police officer: There are many coconut trees. Which one?
A witness: The tree that is behind the van.
Police officer: Can you describe the object?
A witness: It’s a plastic grey bag.
Police officer: When did he put it there?
A witness: Like 10 minutes ago then he ran away.
Police officer: What makes you think it’s dangerous?
A witness: He ran right away.
Police officer: You saw someone put a plastic grey bag under the coconut tree
behind the red van and he ran away like 10 minutes ago?
A witness: Yes. Yes. Come here now!!! Look there!!! I think it’s a bomb.
Don’t go closer. Please show me the direction. I will inform my

Case V: Cheating
Scenario 1 – A girl yells on a street and points to a red building
Police officer: Hi, is everything okay?
A girl: I was cheated by a taxi. I’m mad!!!!!
Police officer: I’m sorry for you but tell me what happened? I will try to help.
A girl: I took taxi to Asoke BTS station. He then left me here and drove
off. He took my 500 baht.
Police officer: That’s not good. Can you remember the license plate?
A girl: Noooooooo!
Police officer: Can you remember anything?
A girl: Yellow and green cab. The driver was ugly! But he could speak
English well.
Police officer: Which way he headed to?
A girl: That red building. I saw he drove inside that building.
Police officer: Let me radio my colleagues.

Police officer: Sorry for that but can you tell me how it happened?

Police officer: I know. I’m sorry for you but tell me what happened? I will try

A girl: I took taxi from Sukhumvit 63 to Asoke BTS station. He then left
me here and drove off. He took my 1,000 baht.
Police officer: Asoke BTS is only 5 minutes from here.
A girl: He took 1,000 baht. The meter was only 400 something.
Police officer: That’s not good. Can you remember the license plate?
