Case I: Missing person



Scenario 1 – A woman runs around and screams with tears.

Police officer: Excuse me, what happened?

Foreigner: I can’t find my son anywhere!!!!! Please help me!!!

Police officer: Not to worry, I am here to help now. Can you please describe him?

Foreigner: He is 3 years old. He is wearing grey trousers and white tͲshirt.
I think he has a teddy bear with him. I don’t know what to do now.

Police officer: Slow down. Where did you last see him?

Foreigner: I was buying books at Asia Book and he was looking at some books
as well and when I turned around he was not there.

Police officer: Is Asia Book far from here?

Foreigner: 2 floors up.

Police officer: Okay, Can you please go wait over there in case he comes back?
I will start looking for him. What can I call him?

Foreigner: His name is Edward.

Police officer: Okay, I will start looking now.

Scenario 2 – A girl cries in front of Toys R us.

Police officer: Hi, what are you doing here? I am a police
officer. I can help you.

A girl: I want my mommy … my mommy.

Police officer: Well, where is your mommy?

A girl: I don’t know … mommy mommy

tell me about your mommy? What’s her
name?

Boys3(all voices): Mine!!!! You gotta help me!!!! Mama will kill me.

Case III: Asking for directions

Scenario 3 – 2 Asian guys are looking at a map and shouting at each other.



Police officer: Hi, do you need any help?

Guy 1: We were supposed to meet a friend at Happy coffee shop and
now we are lost.

Police officer: Slow down. No need to argue at each other.

Guy 2: He is the one who got me late. He said we had to come this way.

Police officer: Okay, but you are not on the right direction.

Guy 2: I know!!! He led me here. We are late now.

Police officer: Let me rephrase. You have to meet your friend at Happy coffee shop.

Guy 1: Last time I came here I took this route but I don’t know why it’s
not correct.

Police officer: It’s because you forgot to turn right at the last soi.

Guy 1: So I need to walk back.

Police officer: No need. You can go this way as well. Let me show you the way.
Not to worry. Please walk to Tops supermarket and turn left then
you will see a small road. You will see a bookstore. The coffee
shop is behind it.

Guy 1: Thanks, officer

Scenario 4 – An old lady walks around at the park looking upset.



Police officer: Good morning, do you need any help?

Old lady: I want to go to BTS station but no one can help me. They don’t
talk to me.

Police officer: I see. May be they cannot speak English. I’m sorry for that.

Old lady: I am old! At least they should care!

Police officer: I understand but don’t take it personal. I am here now.

Old lady: Will you take me there?

Police officer: I am on duty. I can’t take your there but I will show you the
way. It’s not far.

Old lady: Are you sure? How come it seems far to me?

Police officer: Once you make it to the main gate, it will take only 5 minutes
to get to BTS station.

Old lady: That sounds okay to me.

Police officer: Let me take you to main gate. Please walk with me.

Old lady: Thanks a lot.

Police officer: When you leave the main gate. You just turn right and walk
straight for 5 minutes you will see BTS station on your left.

your head.

A man: Why? What did I do?

Police officer: Please follow my instruction. Do it now!
