David Koh

A - Apple (Technology)
I am a big fan of Apple. I started to love Apple when I first came to school, because of that, it
made me to buy iPhone, iPad, IPod Classic, IPod shuffle and MacBook. I believe that apple is
so much better than windows. It has better design and it is easy to use.

B - Bass Guitar
Since I love to play and listen to music, I really love to play bass guitar. I participated in
different bands, Joe Cho Trio, Garageband, Polychromatic. I played since the second
semester of 7th grade. I am really enjoying it and I think I am going to play rest of my life.
C - Cat!
I used to have a pet. I had a dog(Dachshund) I really loved it. He was very active and friendly.
But I had to pass on to someone else because my parents both had to work. I still miss him a
lot. But these days, I wish to have a cat. It depends on which cat you have but, they are easy
to take care of and they are very cute.

D - Driving
I really don’t want to drive when I grow up, I feel like it is dangerous and I want to have my
own driver.
E - Energetic
A lot of people tell me I am very energetic. When I play sports, I really love to cheer my
teammates and encourage them. I don’t like to use my macbook during free time. So I always
play basketball or ride bikes around the campus. I just love being with people and enjoying my
free time with them.

F - Frank Sinatra
Frank Sinatra! He is one of my favorite artists. My favorite genre of music is jazz. I love his
voice and the way he sing. I think he became an inspiration to a lot of artists. Michael Buble
does a lot of covers of his songs. But I still cannot believe that he created amazing songs a
long time ago.

G - Grades
When I was in Middle School, I didn’t give my full attention to grades. I didn’t care about them
much. But when I got into highschool, I felt like I should start to seriously care about my grade.
Because my GPA can matter a lot for my university, I need to manage them really well. My
goal for each quarter is to get a GPA of 3.3. But at the end of the year I want to get 3.5.

H - Hobby
Here are my favorite hobbies: playing different sports, playing different instruments, listening
to music. The most favorite sports are basketball and badminton. My favorite genre of music
is Jazz, Blues. I also love to play them. I was in Jazz band in Middle school. In sports, I was in
basketball and badminton team last year and I really want to participate this year too.

I - I’ve got you under my skin
This is a song written by Frank Sinatra and its my favorite music of all time. There are different
covers but my most favorite one is a cover by Michael Buble. I think this song conveys the
feeling of a man when they love someone. I sometimes feel empathy when I hear that music. I
love it!
J - John Hopkins University
This is the university that I really want to attend. It is famous for medical education and I want
to be a team doctor when I grow up. So I think this university can really help me to be a
doctor. Also, I need to study really hard to get into this university.
K - Korea International School, Jeju
This is a place that have changed my life. I had a lot of opportunities to try and challenge new
things. Whether it is sports, music, academically and culture. I learned American culture by
talking with them and trying the same hobby we have. I love this place.
L - London
I’ve been to London when I was 6th grade. I stayed in England about 3 weeks. I toured
around the England and I fall in love with England. Everyone was so respectful to me and the
building were gorgeous. With this influence I really want to live in England instead of Korea.
M - Michael Buble
This is my favorite artist. I love the songs he covered. I went to the concert to see him and I
loved it. I never could forget what clothes I was wearing, the performance and everything. I
was only able to see him through Youtube, and I nearly cried when I saw him in real life. I
even bought all the albums they were selling. I had to spend about 100 dollars to buy all of his
albums. I love him and I hope to see him again.
N - New High School
High School is really new to me. It is so different from middle school. The homeworks that we
get assigned, rubrics, and different expectations. I am still getting used to the mood of high
school. I am struggling to manage my time wisely. Since I have a lot of freedom, it made me to
not to do the prioritized tasks first. For example, it made me lazy and not accomplish my
assignments. But I am trying hard to manage my time wisely.
O - Oasis(Band)
I love this band, my favorite tunes are roll with it, wonderwall and etc. They produce great
music for audiences.
P - Parents!
People I respect the most in this world is my parents. They do everything they can do to make
me happy. They also try to give me the best education as possible. I respect them, because
they try and challenge on everything just for me. For me, I can’t imagine being a Father and
giving everything that I have. I respect and love them.

Q - Question
I have a lot of questions that I want to ask. But they are not always necessary questions. I
sometime think about the problem that the world is struggling with. Then I come up with a lot
of questions. But I don’t have a lot of questions to ask in my school assignments. I think this is
a problem, because it means that I am not paying enough attention to my school
assignments.
R - Ray Charles
This is the artist that I give a lot of respect. He wrote greatest songs. Like, I don’t need no
doctor, Georgia on my mind, you don’t know me and I got a woman. When I listen to Georgia
on my mind it reminds me of my home and my family. I think he wrote amazing songs that can
make listeners the feel empathy in their daily life.
S - Sleep
I need a lot of sleep. I also love to sleep. But I am pretty responsible with my sleeping time. If I
have a lot of works to do, I decide to stay up late. I also can stay up long without sleeping a
lot. Last time I slept at 4:00am and woke up at 7:00am and after school, I played basketball
with my friends.
T - Team Doctor
My dream is to become a team doctor for Chelsea FC. This is my favorite soccer team. So I
really want to help players to play at their best level. I also love to take care of people. I also
tried a lot of leadership roles in the dorms and school.
U - Unstoppable
If I get out of my mind it is difficult to stop. I can’t resist myself getting calm. I love making
jokes and goofing around. But I am usually very calm and knows when to be serious or not.
V - Videos
During my leisure time I love to play sports and being active. But I also like to watch youtube
videos. I watch youtubers making funny vlogs and prank videos. I think it sometime make my
day. Youtube is the greatest invention!
W - Winter
Winter is my favorite season. I love to wear coats and long sleeve shirts. They look better than
short clothes. For me, winter makes me more relaxed, I also love to make Snowmans with my
younger sister. I think winter also gives us opportunity to make memory.
X - X men
x men is my favorite movie. It always make me nervous during every scenes. It love the actors
and actress. It think it also has great setting and theme.
Y - Yacht
My another dream is to have my own personal Yacht. I just want to relax under the sun and
hangout.

V - Videos

But I also want to learn a lot this year. I have different expectation for myself than in middle
school. I am ready to accomplish my freshman year.
