Sample capability statements

1. Talk about safety, quality, budget, project schedule, variety of industries (auto, utilities,
healthcare) and project size. Nimble and flexible due to size of business. Focus on customer
satisfaction.

2. Should be able to immediately tell the type of services being offered (see core competencies
and NAICS code references below)

3. Include company website
4. Referencing NAICS code(s) is helpful for buyers to determine if supplier has capabilities needed
5. Core Competencies should be more of a focal point (see “what we do” on Saturn’s statement)
6. I like the Core Competencies on Michael Franco, but do not recommend identifying contact

names and phone #’s in capability statement
