OBJECTIVE

• This handout aims to provide exposure and to give information to
employees/visitors on Health, Safety and Environment aspects while
working on the BWTMS premise.

• To promote HSE culture among employees and visitors while working
in BWTMS.

• All visitors must register at the guard's house and get their visitor’s
pass first.

• BWTMS QHSE Department will conduct the safety induction program.
• The induction will be valid for a year only.

1. Sekiranya anda terdengar bunyi loceng atau amaran TAKLIMAT
kecemasan, KESELAMATAN

2. Sila bertenang dan tidak panik. 5
3. Tunggu arahan dari Floor Warden.
4. Bergerak keluar melalui pintu / laluan kecemasan.
5. Seterusnya, anda dikehendaki mengambil T-card yang

berada di pondok pengawal keselamatan dan
kemudian berkumpul di tapak perhimpunan.

Semoga taklimat keselamatan ini dapat memberi anda
pengetahuan tentang tatacara ketika berlaku situasi
kecemasan.

SAFETY BRIEFING

1. If you hear an emergency alarm or bell,
2. Stay calm and do not panic.
3. Wait for instructions from the Floor Warden.
4. Walk towards the nearest exit from where you are.
5. Next, you are required to take the T-card from the guard's

house and gather at the assembly point area.

Hopefully, this safety briefing can give you knowledge about
procedures in case of an emergency.

BEHAVIOR IN WORK
AREA

Employees must adhere to the rules & regulations. Any violation may be
subject to action by the management. Below are some of the rules &
regulations:

▪ All employees are required to comply with laws & regulations.
▪ Work safely.
▪ Do not indulge in horseplay while at work.
▪ Did not involve substance misuse/abuse of drugs and alcohol.
▪ Always wear PPEs.
▪ Report all accidents, incidents, near misses, unsafe acts & unsafe

conditions.
▪ Use the right tools and equipment, and use them in the right way.
▪ Practice good housekeeping.

SMOKING

• Smoking is allowed only in designated areas.
• All employees are prohibited from smoking in the work area/office.
• Any violation regarding smoking may be subject to action by related

parties.

SAFE WORK

• Energy Isolation

• Energy isolation shall be performed by certified personnel only.
• LOTO need to be displayed.

• Working at Height

• Safety harness with double lanyard is mandatory to all personnel working
from 2 meters or more.

• Attachment to electrical conduit, small pipe or other unsubstantial points
shall be avoided for anchorage.

• Lifting Operation

• Ensure the area is barricade before lifting operation begins to prevent people
from walking under the suspended load.

• All personnel should not stand, pass or working directly under the suspended
load.

▪ UNSAFE CONDITION = A CONDITION THAT IS LIKELY TO CAUSE PROPERTY
DAMAGE / INJURY TO THE WORKERS.

▪ UNSAFE ACT = ACTIVITY THAT MAY THREATEN THE HEALTH AND / OR SAFETY
OF THE WORKERS.

6. STATE THE LOCATION OR AREA OF THE UCUA. E.g. MACHINING AREA,
PANTRY, etc.

7. STATE THE FINDING / OBESERVATION. (YOU MAY ATTACH A PICTURE FOR
QHSE REFERENCE)

8. CHOOSE EITHER THE FINDING FALLS UNDER NEAR MISS OR NOT.

9. STATE THE CORRECTIVE ACTION / RECOMMENDATION ACTION THAT HAS
BEEN DONE.

10. CHOOSE THE UCUA STATUS:

• OPEN: DID NOT DO ANY CORRECTIVE ACTION
• ONGOING: IN PROGRESS FOR CORRECTIVE ACTION
• CLOSED: ALREADY DONE THE CORRECTIVE ACTION
