หลักการบอกเวลาโดยใช้ past

การใช้ past ในการบอกเวลาจะเป=นการบอกว่าสําหรบั นาทีที$ 1 – 30

มหี ลักการจํางา่ ยๆว่า past = ผ่านไปแล้ว

โดยจะบอกนาทีตามด้วย past และชวั$ โมงท$ีผ่านมา

five past one = ผ่าน 1 นา ิกามา 5 นาที = 1:05

ten past three = ผ่าน 3 นา ิกามา 10 นาที = 3:10

twenty past ten = ผ่าน 10 นา ิกามา 20 นาที = 10:20

โดย 15 นาทีจะใชค้ ําว่า a quarter แทน fifteen

a quarter past eight = ผ่าน 8 นา ิกามา 15 นาที = 8:15
