MHT HSSE ONBOARDING TRAINING

To enhance HSSE understanding and knowledge in Shell
retail business and also Meinhardt, a HSSE Onboarding
Training program was held from September 21st to 24th
September 2020. This program is dedicated to new
employees of MHT and also new critical role in L3
organization such as new PM, HSSE Lead / SHO as to be
able to understand more deeply on the procedures and
requirements which need to be followed. The classroom
training was held at Meinhardt office while during the
4th day, a site visit session has been conducted at SH
NTI Pekan Salak.

PH REFRESHER TRAINING

To resume the competency of Permit Holder for the
next cycle years, an internal PH Refresher Training has
been conducted to the nearly expiry Permit Holder. This
training has been conducted on 28th September 2020 at
PCA Training Room which aims to refresh the
competency and knowledge on the latest requirement
for Shell and Meinhardt program. The 1 day training has
been conducted by PCA HSSE Lead, En Erman Shahry
Othman who has been accredited by Meinhardt to be
the internal trainer for this program. After completion,
the PH will go to MHT office to do an assessment.

HEARTS & MINDS 2.0 by LCSC

On 17th September 2020, LCSC team has
organized Hearts & Minds 2.0 program at
Shell NTI Serendah, Bukit Beruntung,
Rawang which has been participated by
Permit Holder. The purpose of this
program is to discuss related to the
findings of Hazard & Control Measures on
the site based on the walkabout
conducted. The program also includes
sharing human performance by
participants involved, learning civil works
regarding standards, hazards control, and
learning on Fuel System Works. PCA has
sent En. Kamaruddin bin Ramli to join the
program. At the end of the session, it is
hope that this session will benefits
everybody especially Permit Holder who is
managing work at site which enable them
to understand scope of work to be carried
out, identifying hazard and potential risk.

STARBUCKS MODULAR PROJECT VISIT

On 25th September

2020, a group from

Shell, Meinhardt

and Starbucks has

come to PCA

factory for a

meeting and visit

for a newly build

Starbucks modular

project.

This visit is a part of

the program

whereby to see the

latest development

of the project,

discussed on

improvement of

the quality of works

as well as future

project plan.

MOCK-UP SITE VISIT FOR CLEAN & BRIGHT PROGRAM

On 15th September 2020,
Meinhardt has conducted a visit
to site Mock-Up for Clean &
Bright program at SH Taman
Setapak Indah which PCA has
been appointed by Meinhardt to
run this program. This visit
purposely done to set a standard
of quality of work and guideline
which will be implemented across
this program. The session also
has been participated by other L3
contractor which involve in this
work program as to have a
mutual understanding and clear
direction from Meinhardt on
standard to be followed during
construction period in order to
meet the expectation from Shell.

LCSC MY – Q3 MEETING

3rd quarter of LCSC MY meeting has been conducted on 24th September 2020 which
been chaired by Mr. Melvin Ohng and conducted virtually through Skype platform.
During the session, a lot of ideas have been shared and information has been discussed
throughout the engagement such as incidents sharing, case summary, training updates,
hearts & minds program as well as safety initiative competition. All participants actively
participate during the engagement as to raise their concern which need assistance by
the L2 and Shell.

SKYLIFT SAFETY HANDLING TRAINING

As part of the general duties of employer to provide the
provision of such information, instruction, training and
supervision to the employees, an in-house Skylift Safety
Handling Training has been conducted at PCA Group Sdn
Bhd on 29th September 2020. The aim of the training
are to make the participants to be trained in operating
the skylift and to learn the safe operating procedures
applicable to the skylift as for working at height. By end
of the project, all participants will be able to operate
the skylift in a safely manner and to ensure meeting the
requirements as a trained person.

FIRST AIDER REFRESHER EXERCISE

To further enhance on the knowledge of emergency
treatment by factory competent first aider, a first aid
refresher exercise for factory internal first aider was
held on 1st September 2020 at PCA Training Room. The
main purpose of this exercise is to increase the
knowledge of rendering first aid to the injured person,
especially during an incident which may be occurred at
workplace. This exercise was led by En. Zairudin Zaini as
Safety & Health Officer for PCA factory and this exercise
took about 2 hours.

ISO45001:2018 SURVEILLANCE & TRANSITION AUDIT

On 25th September 2020, PCA Group Sdn Bhd has
successfully passed the 3-manday Surveillance Audit
(Migration Audit) by SGS Malaysia to obtain the new ISO
45001:2018 certification replacing OHSAS18001:2007
which is going to be obsoleted worldwide by 2021. The
objectives of this audit were to determine conformity of
the management system, or parts of it with audit criteria
and its ability to ensure applicable statutory, regulatory
and contractual requirements are met, effectiveness to
ensure the client can reasonably expect to achieve
specified objectives, and ability to identify as applicable
areas for potential improvement.

ISO45001:2018 MANAGEMENT REVIEW MEETING

As part of the standard requirement for ISO45001:2018 under clause 9 (Performance
Evaluation), a management review meeting has been conducted on 17th September
2020 at PCA Training Room. The objectives of this meeting are to review of the
suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the OHSMS to be undertaken by top
management at planned intervals and the opportunity for senior management to
critically evaluate the performance of the OH&S management system across the
organization.

FACTORY EMERGENCY DRILL EXERCISE

On 2nd September 2020, there was an emergency drill
exercise has been conducted at PCA factory. For this
year, only 40 employees have been selected to join the
drill exercise as advised by BOMBA (according to their
SOP) who is witnessing the drill exercise. The main
objective of this exercise are to periodically test,
evaluate and continually improve our Emergency
Preparedness and Response Procedure, demonstrate
employees’ understanding regarding emergency
preparedness & response procedure and monitor the
effectiveness of emergency response time &
communication.

5th FMM NEGERI SEMBILAN SHE COMMITTEE MEETING

The 5th SHE Committee Meeting for FMM Negeri
Sembilan branch has been conducted on 25th
September 2020. The meeting has been conducted by
virtually as well as physical meeting at FMM office. It
has been participated by committee members
representing their organization within Negeri Sembilan.
Among he topics discussed are appointment of Vice
Chairman and updating on programmes and activities
which have been executed and plan for year 2020
