2021 HALF-YEARLY PERFORMANCE REVIEW

On 5th August 2021, a Half-
Yearly Performance Review for
year 2021 session between
PCA and MHT was held via
Microsoft Teams platform.
This session was held to
discuss on PCA performance
for the half year of 2021 and
the improvements planning
which need to be taken to
maintain performance for year
2021.
This session discussed on the
HSSE performance, project
review as well as quality of
work which has been carried
out by PCA and expectation
from client for this year for
improvement.

CBRE PERMIT HOLDER (PH) ENGAGEMENT

On 6th August 2021, CBRE has conducted Delivering Engineering Solution Globally
an engagement session with all L3
registered Permit Holder through Microsoft
Teams platform.
The main objectives of the engagement
were to refresh on the knowledge of all
Permit Holder and to explain further on the
roles & responsibilities when managing
work safely at site.
With a great coordination and feedback
from all the participants, at the end of the
session, all Permit Holder are expected to
understand on their accountabilities while
at site, making sure all work is carried out
in accordance with the PTW system, verify
precautions are maintained throughout the
work and always communicate with
respective person when in doubt.

Meinhardt PIPH TRAINING

On 17th August 2021, Meinhardt has conducted
PIPH training for new entrants which will be
managing the Shell program under Meinhardt.
This training has been delivered by Meinhardt
HSSE personnel, Mr. Mohd Ghaus Mohd
Hashim.
End of the session, all PIPH are expected to be
able to understand on the procedures and
standard as per requirement in managing site
work. An assessment has been done to gauge
the understanding of the training and making
them as accredited Permit Issuer & Permit
Holder.

HSSE VISIT TO SITE Delivering Engineering Solution Globally

Series of site HSSE audit has been planned
and organized by project team assisted by
HSSE personnel to ensure that the project is
carried out on the site in accordance with all
the requirements set by the client.
For this month, an audit has been conducted
at SH Pekan Salak, SH Persiaran Kayangan
and SH Alaf Karak. During the audit, all latest
information have been shared to the site team
as to ensure they are equipped with the
knowledge and information. The site team
taking this opportunity to highlight any issues
arises during performing their task and
discussed on the improvement needed.
Refreshing on previous LFI also has been
conducted to the site team as part of the
communication and learnings to all involved in
Shell program.

PCA PROJECT & HSSE ENGAGEMENT

A day after PCA half-yearly
performance review for 2021 has
been conducted with Meinhardt, the
senior leadership of PCA which was
led by Mr. Tee Kok Wong has taking
an initiative to organize an internal
sharing with regards to our overall
performance with all project and
HSSE team.
During the session, the senior
leadership has shared the outcome
of the performance, area for
improvement especially on HSSE,
quality, project timeline as well as the
compliance while executing all
project. The team has taking an
opportunity to raise issues in order to
improve the overall work
performance in future.

PCA QUARTERLY HSSE COMMITTEE MEETING

In compliance with the
Occupational Safety and Health
(Safety & Health Committee)
Regulations 1996, Quarterly
HSSE Committee Meeting for
2021 was held on 6th August
2021 virtually via Microsoft Teams
platform.
The meeting which has been
chaired by Mr. Chua Sun Fat as a
chairman and discussed on
HSSE matters, plans and
proposals to establish a safety
and healthy working condition at
the place of work including review
the performance and challenges
faced during this half year of
2021.

FRANKLIN FUELING SYSTEM (FFS) TRAINING

Four (4) of PCA staff have taking an opportunity
to attend the Franklin Fueling System (FFS)
training which was held virtually from 24th to 25th
August 2021. The aim of this training is to be
competent in managing program related to fuel
system. The topic covered during this 2 day
training is including UPP pipe installation, FE
Petro and accessories and assessment has
been conducted at the end of each training day
to ensure better understanding.

TRAIN THE TRAINER TRAINING

On 23rd to 27th August 2021, one of the HSSE
personnel has attended the Train the Trainer
(TTT) training virtually organized by National
Institute of Occupational, Safety & Health
(NIOSH).
The objective of this training is to train a personnel
who deliver classroom-based lessons and
presentations. It equips the participants with the
necessary knowledge, skills, competence, and
confidence to become an effective Trainer, which
improves the value of the training programmes
they deliver
At the end of the course, the participant will be
able to work effectively in education and training,
foster and promote an inclusive learning culture,
ensure a healthy and safe learning environment,
undertake organisational training needs analysis
and use training packages to meet client needs..

BI-WEEKLY RTK TEST

In compliance with MKN and CIDB Standard
Operating Procedure (SOP) for construction as well
as manufacturing sector, PCA continues to conduct
Covid-19 Self Test using saliva type of sample
fortnightly in ensuring all personnel are free from
spreading to others.
Records have been kept as a proof of evidence
should there is an audit conducted by the authority.

YEARLY FACTORY EMERGENCY DRILL EXERCISE

On 25th August 2021, there was an
emergency drill exercise has been
conducted at PCA factory. For this
time, only 40 employees have been
selected to join the drill exercise as
advised by BOMBA (according to
their SOP) who is witnessing the drill
exercise.
The main objective of this exercise
are to periodically test, evaluate and
continually improve our Emergency
Preparedness and Response
Procedure, demonstrate employees’
understanding regarding emergency
preparedness & response procedure
and monitor the effectiveness of
emergency response time &
communication.

QUALITY VISIT TO SITE

Site visit has been conducted at Shell NTI Pekan
Salak for this month. Shell NTI Pekan Salak is an
on-going site, which due to MCO this site has
been closed for over 2 months and a responsibility
for us to do a checking on the internal furniture
condition.

Those furniture are in good condition and the
method to keep the goods from any scratch by
using plastic wrapping

CIS 7 WEIGHTAGE GUIDELINE FOR EACH REVISION OF CIS 7

CIS 7 is known as the Construction Industry Standard and the number of 7 it’s specifically
for building construction only.
Since the year of 2006, CIS 7 had been establish and the guideline is referring to the CIS
7:2006. Through the year, the CIS 7 had been revise with new revision known as CIS
7:2014. The latest revision of CIS 7 was CIS 7:2021, which had been notify in the CIDB
web page and it’s to be implemented starting on October 2021.
The main objective on the CIS 7 is a guidance of all contractors who had register and
applied QLASSIC in their building constructions. The weightage is one of the items that had
been revise through the years of revisions. Weightage is the % shows for components of
building construction works that will be access during the assessment of QLASSIC.
