Who’s Who

VENDI ADVERTISING is our marketing sponsor and LA CROSSE RADIO GROUP
and WXOW TV-19 are our media sponsors for the 2007-2008 season. We thank them all
for their generosity and commitment to La Crosse Community Theatre.

KELLEY BATES-FRANSON* (Mollie Ralston) works as a realtor for Coldwell Banker.
Other theatre credits include roles, for Winona Home and Community Options, as Marian
in The Music Man (2004), Anna in The King and I (2005), Peter in Peter Pan (2006);
for Fountain City River Players, as Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie (2007); and for
Winona State University, as Maria in West Side Story (2002). This is Kelley’s LCT debut.
She describes theatre as her release, for a short time allowing her to live in a bubble,
separate from reality. She thanks her unparalleled family, Allen, for offering her this
opportunity, and Andy.

STACY BRUEMMER (Mrs. Boyle) enjoys scrapbooking and all things theatre. Other
theatre credits include roles as Doris in Sometime Next Year, as Mimsy in The Girls in
509, and as Bianca in The Taming of the Shrew. Her most recent LCT roles included
Penny Sycamore in You Can’t Take It With You, Sarah Goldman in Beau Jest, and a
role in Jest a Second. Stacy likes the challenge of community theatre, the rush of a live
performance, and the friendships made during a show. She thanks her big sister Kate
(“I hope I make you proud!”), and Mac and Annie for letting Mom out to play!

SARAH HOLLAND* (Miss Casewell) serves as a city council member in Spring Grove,
Minnesota, as well as on the board of directors of Ye Olde Opera House. Other theatre
credits include roles as Jan in Grease, as Jennie in Chapter Two, as Mrs. Patty in The
Curious Savage, and she directed both How to Succeed in Business Without Really
Trying and The Mousetrap. This is Sarah’s LCT debut.

ANDREW MANSON (Christopher Wren) has “made the trifecta” by attending all three
colleges in La Crosse. He currently is a marketing major. Other theater credits include
roles as Malcolm in The Full Monty, Jimmy in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jesus in
Godspell, and Ren McCormick in Footloose, the Musical. He played Josh Baskin in the
LCT production Big, the Musical. Andy enjoys watching the Cubs in the playoffs and the
Badgers winning the Big Ten. He likes working with LCT’s wonderful actors, directors,
and volunteers. He thanks Allen for the opportunity to be in this show, Kelley for walking
to rehearsals with him, and his friends and family members.

Who’s Who

DILLON McARDLE (Technical Director/Set Designer) received a BFA in technical
production and design from Viterbo University. He is excited to be here at La Crosse
Community Theatre and hopes to create beautiful art for all to be a part of and enjoy.

DEREK MORRIS* (Mr. Paravicini) is a freshman at Viterbo University, majoring in
theatre arts. Other theatre credits include roles as Bob MacAfree in South Pacific, Baraby
Tucker in Hello, Dolly, Harry MacAffee in Bye, Bye, Birdie, and Tevye in Fiddler On the
Roof. This is Derek’s LCT debut. He enjoys hunting, fishing, baseball, football, acting,
and hanging out. He also enjoyed working in a small cast, and this was a great experience
with a notable theatre. Derek thanks his parents for pushing him to audition.

MANDY PARMETER* (Costume Designer) is originally from Aberdeen, S.D. She
received her bachelor’s degree in music education from Northern State University. While
there, she discovered her passion for theatre. After a year of teaching music, she relocated
to Lincoln, Neb., to study costume design. She received her MFA in costume design in
May 2005 and has been freelance designing and teaching. Her work has taken her from
Oklahoma to Washington, Virginia, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. Mandy would like to thank
her husband, Greg, for relocating his life to La Crosse. His support is a true blessing and
one of the reasons she loves him so much.

DANIEL RADTKE (Major Metcalf) works as a trust officer with Associated Wealth
Management. He enjoys golf and theatre. Dan’s LCT roles have included Uncle Barnaby
in Babes in Toyland and Kolenkov in You Can’t Take It With You. He likes the opportunity
the be creative and be someone else, if just for a short time. Dan thanks his wife, Anne,
and his children, Madeline and Virginia, for allowing him the time to do this.

JASON REUTER* (Giles Ralston) is a junior studying history at Portland State
University. When not studying ancient history, he enjoys playing guitar or piano,
writing, and drawing. Other theatre credits include roles as the captain in The Love of
the Nightingale, as Søren Kierkegaard in The Son of Abraham, and he acted in the student
one-act festival at Portland Community College. This is his LCT debut. About theatre
he says, “There is something so singularly fascinating about trying to become someone
else, there’s nothing else like it.” He thanks Michael Najjar, his first acting teacher and
director; Allen Ebert, for this opportunity; his fellow Mousetrap actors; and his family,
without whose support he doubts he would be anywhere near a stage.

TODD SPRINGER (Co-Director) is assistant production director at Midwest Family
Broadcasting. Other theatre credits include Searching for a Soulmate (the Pump House,
2005), Check, Please! (2006). He enjoys writing plays and deep water jogging. At LCT
Todd has played Jonathan Harker in Dracula and the Cop in Mr. Popper’s Penguins. He
enjoys theatre’s people, words, and collaboration.

productions The Last of the Really Great Whangdootles and Stories from a Light in

“Where we believe your retirement outcome depends on your retirement income.”

The 2007-2008 Season

“Mame” — Sept. 7-9, 13-16, 20-23. Mame has a wild,
adventurous spirit and believes that life is a banquet. As she
lives life to the fullest, expect to hear some familiar tunes,
particularly “Mame” and “We Need a Little Christmas.” The
book is by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee, and music
and lyrics are by Jerry Herman.

“The Mousetrap” — Oct. 19-21, Oct. 25-28, and Nov. 1-4.
Agatha Christie’s mystery takes place in a boarding house,
where a group of strangers is stranded in a snowstorm. One
of them is a murderer. A policeman arrives, and the murders
continue. Whodunnit?

“A Christmas Carol” — Dec. 7-9 and Dec. 14-16. The
miserly Scrooge gets his attitude adjusted by the Ghosts of
Christmas Past, Present, and Future.

“Lend Me a Tenor” — Jan. 18-20, Jan. 24-27, and
Jan. 31-Feb. 3, 2008. This farce by Ken Ludwig is about
the Cleveland Grand Opera Company and the world-famous
tenor who is supposed to open the season there. The tenor is
late. What to do? It involves much slamming of doors and
mistaken identities.

“The Boys Next Door” — Feb. 29-March 2, March 6-9,
and March 13-16, 2008. The play focuses on the lives of
four mentally handicapped men who live in a communal
residence under the watchful eye of their frustrated social
worker.

“The Sound of Music” — April 25-27, May 1-4, and
May 8-11, 2008. With music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics
by Oscar Hammerstein II, you can’t go wrong. The hills will
be alive with the sound of music as the Von Trapp family
flees the Nazis, singing all the way through the Alps.

“The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood” — June 13-15
and June 20-22, 2008. In this comedy, Robin Hood aids a
damsel in distress while evading a sheriff who loves to bowl
and a spoon-wielding band of merry men.
