6.0 Test Results:

The results are tabulated as follows:

Title of Test Result Note
Structural Performance of 1300 Pa
Exterior Windows, Doors, Positive Load (Suction)
Skylights and Curtain Walls by and Negative Load (Pressure)
Uniform Static Air Pressure
Difference per ASTM E330

6.1 Results Interpretation:

Under ASTM E330, the test sample was subjected to uniform repeated positive (suction) and negative
(pressure) air pressure loads, alternately in that order, up to the maximum effort allowed by the sample
before presenting any type of split, fracture or rupture of any of its components.

The pressure loads were applied in incremental steps of 100 Pa, with duration of 10 seconds for each
load as dictated by the ASTM E330 standard.

The last pressure load applied to the split of one of the components of the sample was 1400 Pa (negative
pressure), however, the last load applied successfully in negative pressure and positive pressure is
reported here.

Windows, Doors, Skylights and Curtain Walls by Uniform Static Air Pressure Difference.

Note 1: Duration of the test 2 hr. 30 min.

Note 2: The temperature during the test was 27.1 ° C (80.78 ° F).
Note 3: Positive and negative static air pressure loads were applied alternately.
Note 4: Each charge was applied for 10 sec.
Note 5: The sample was allowed a repose time between pressure loads of 2 min.
Note 6: The last applied load was 1400 Pa of negative pressure presenting detachment.
Note 7: The last load satisfactorily applied to the sample was 1300 Pa of positive pressure and

negative pressure, which is reported here.

Location of Air Seal

The seal between the test sample and the test wall is detailed below: The seal is achieved by making use of
foam weather strip tape which is attached to the edge of the test sample. The test sample is placed against the
test wall and held in place, compressing the weather strip tape creating an airtight seal.
