Why KV and JNV Schools Need an English Language Lab
Kendriya Vidyalaya and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya schools occupy a unique position in India's education landscape. They serve children of Central Government employees including defense and paramilitary personnel whose families transfer across states frequently. For these children, English is not just a school subject. It is the one common language that travels with them from posting to posting, from Tamil Nadu to Uttarakhand, from Rajasthan to the Andaman Islands.
Given this reality, you might expect KV and JNV schools to place special emphasis on practical English communication. And while the CBSE curriculum they follow has moved increasingly toward communication-based and activity-based learning, there remains a gap between what the classroom can provide and what these students genuinely need a gap that a structured English Language Lab is built to fill.
