OUR HISTORY Wheaton Party Rental was incorporated in 1969 and served the party rental industries in

the Baltimore/Washington market. Through their family office Select Capital, the Ortenzio Family purchased Wheaton
Party Rentals in 1999. At that time, Martin Ortenzio was named CEO and Select Event Rentals was born. With that came a
dramatic change of direction, and Select began looking for different openings to grow within its marketplace and areas on
the East Coast. The company put focus on the expansion of current relationships, the addition of new clients, and a number
of acquisitions. From 2001 to 2015, Select was successful in bringing eight companies into the folds of Select Event Rentals
operations. The acquisition of Party Cloths in 2006 greatly enhanced the company’s linen capabilities, while the acquisitions
of Party Perfect Special Events in 2008 and HDO Productions in 2011 marked the beginning of Select Event Rentals presence
in the tenting side of the industry. In 2012 the company made a dedicated investment in structure tents, a decision that
has shaped the industry-leading Tent & Structure division Select boasts today. Success in large-scale events opened up
opportunities for expansion in all areas of the company. The next year, through its acquisition of Capital Décor & Events,
Select began offering event design and production as part of its range of services. A need to rebrand and to reorganize
company-wide was recognized. In 2013 the transformation into Select Event Group, an industry-leading total event resource,
was complete.

Today, Select Event Group is recognized as one of the largest special events companies in the mid-Atlantic region with
headquarters in Laurel MD, as well as regional offices in Baltimore and Philadelphia. We employ roughly 275 employees and
our array of services has expanded into five distinct divisions:

FIESTA FRAME
TENT

Select offers several sizes of our small
frame Fiesta tenting. An industry favorite,
the Fiesta tents are the “go-to” for smaller
tenting needs. With the choice of white or
clear roof tops and a variety of sizes, Fiesta
frame tents are a great option to any event.

Avaliable in 10’, 12’, 14’, 16’, 20’, 25’, and 30’
widths.

Tents can be weighted or staked.



SAILCLOTH TENTS

Our Sailcloth style tents offer a look similar
to the more traditional pole tents. Covered
in our light cloth material, Sailcloth tents
feature rounded corners and wooden poles.

TENSION POLE
TENTS

Select has a wide variety of tension pole
tent options ranging in widths from 40’ to
100’. Tension tents contain center poles and
perimeter poles to create a sculptured look.
With all white tops, tenstion pole tents are
visually striking. The high peaks and curves
keep this option among our clients’ favorites
from year to year.

STRUCTURE TENTS

One of our most versatile options, the
Navitrac and Structure systems come in both
gable and hip end options. We offer different
end configurations to customize your event
further. Decagon, octagon, and hexagon
ends are all avaliable; as well as white and
clear roof panels. They can be used in several
size configurations making them easy to use
in almost any setting!
