INDIGENOUS BACKGROUND
The Orang Asli are the indigenous minority peoples of Peninsular
Malaysia. Orang Asli can be translated as the original people.
There are 18 tribes grouped under three categories according to
their different languages and customs:
1)Negrito (or Semang)
2) Senoi
3) Aboriginal Malay (or Proto-Malay).
According to the Center For Orang Asli Concerns they numbered
178,197 in 2010 or just 0.6% of the national population

HISTORY OF INDIGENOUS
History of Indigenous cultures the Orang Asli of Peninsular
Malaysia dates back about 5000 years. Most of these Orang
Asli are believed to have come from China an Tibet, through
their migration in southeast Asia before their settlement in
Peninsular Malaysia and Indonesia
Almost 70% of the Orang Asli community are traditionally animists,
while 20% of them are Muslims (the numbers are growing slowly,
especially among the Proto-Malay community), and the remaining
10% are Christians.
TRADITIONAL CLOTHING OF
THE NATIVES
The Orang Asli community, who usually live in the
forest areas of Malaysia, wear clothes made from
natural materials such as applied tree bark and grass
skirts. The ornaments worn by them include a head
wrap made of leaves woven with a variety of patterns

NATIVE DANCE
Sewang Dance is popular and
synonymous with the Orang Asli
community. The dance was originally
held for medical purposes, but on this
day the dance is often performed at
ceremonies such as the Melaka State
Level Orang Asli Day Celebration 2019
at the Datuk Wira Poh Ah Tiam
Recreational Park, Machap Baru,
recently.
THE MARRIAGE OF IDIGENOUS
Most indigenous people get married at a young age
For men aged 18 years and above is the most suitable age for marriage
Women at the age of 16 and not exceeding the age of men
The marriage is done by the parents of the bride-to-be starting from
the merisik ceremony until a person has become a legal married
couple
Matchmaking determined by parents
Indigenous marriage customs vary according to the mahmeri tribe,

The sumpit or blow pipe (malan) is a traditional weapon used
by the Indigenous tribe for hunting and during the older days,
warfare. There are numerous measurements for the
blowpipe ranging from 2 feet to more than 6 feet. The longer
the barrel, the longer the distance the dart will go

Definition of animism according to etymology derived from
Latin that means soul, spirit or life
Animism is the belief that every something that exists on the
face of the earth It's like stone, wood, wind and others have a
soul or Spirit.
As a result of this belief, Humans should respect entities
it's so that the spirit won't harassing humans
CONCLUSION

the merisik proses is :

WEDDING
Sabah has a set beautiful wedding ceremonies with ceremonies
and ceremonies dating back to time immemorial.
On the wedding day of the dowry ,it is very imporatant to
undergo the ritual as it forges the relationship not only between
the groom and the bride but also the family and the village

According to the Salasilah Raja-Raja Brunei ,the
Pebgiran Muda Tengah Ibrahim Ali Omar Shah ,better
know as Raja Tengah .accepted the offer by his elder
brother ,the Sultan of Brunei.to be Sultan of Sarawak
in 1598
1599 :During returning from Pahang ,Sultan Tengah's
strom-lashed ship aground in Sukadana in West
Kalimantan,Indonesia
On his return to Sarawak,he was killed by one of his
follower at present day Kampung Batu Buaya in
