Multiple-tier Timelines

Multiple-tier timelines use two or more rows of events.
While each row represents a different subject, the time
period is the same.
Multiple-tier timelines can be used to help us look at
cause and effect relationships or patterns and themes
among events in a specific period of time.
We will be using a multi-tier timeline to show the rise
and fall of four early civilizations in the Americas: The
Mississippian, Inca, Maya, and Aztec and look for
RELATIONSHIPS between the dates.

You will insert a picture in this space of
you holding your completed timeline at

the end of this project!

example they made their own language/number
system. They made the first calendar that we actually
copied off of to make our own calendar. They had a
more advanced civilization then any other civilization
at the time.

The relationship the mayans had with each other
helped them get things done quicker. Plus they could
talk while doing the thing at task. The environment
was warm because it was close to the equator. They
also farmed, they grew crops like corn, beans, and
squash.

longitude of the center of the Maya
Empire?
About 100 west degrees latitude and
about 15 north degrees longitude.

What might the climate be like in this
location based on the latitude and

close to the equator.

How would this affect the way people
live in this area? It would be good for
farming because it is warm.

priest was a big part of the government because they
could say how long the king ruled.

Where in the World…
Were the Aztec Located?

What is the approximate latitude and
longitude of the center of the Aztec
Empire?
The aztec empire was located at
about 100 degrees west longitude
and about 20 degrees latitude north.
It is also north of gwadamada, it is
east of the pacific ocean and west of
the atlantic ocean.
What might the climate be like in this
location based on the latitude and
longitude?
The place they live in would be very
hot because of how close they are to
the equator. They were in a valley
that was 7,000 feet in elematon. That
means it was cool in the winter times.
How would this affect the way people
live in this area?
They would most likely not have good
soil considering it needs moisturizer
all the way through. If it was hot they
would have hard rocky soil. The
people had to find ways to find water
their crops and had to have clothing
and housing that would adjust to
changing temperatures.
