Magical Acts of Kindness!

This time of year, so many people are in the giving spirit. This year more than ever, acts of kindness are much needed in order to help spread
cheer at a time that we all could use a little uplifting of our spirits! The Commercial Team was sent the below email and what transpired is truly
awe-inspiring! Take a minute to look at just a handful of the AOK’s that came to light as a result of the ask from Natalie Jackson and Jorge
Hernandez (see next page). AMAZING job, Commercial Team. Thank you for your generosity and spreading so much cheer!.

“2020 is coming to an end and we are all looking forward to 2021. When we think of “2020” most of our thoughts such as Pandemic,
Quarantine, New Normal, These Trying Times and several other “catch phrases”. However, many of us have also taken this extraordinary
time to pivot and refocus on what’s really important – giving back and random acts of kindness.

Have you donated your time and/or funds to a specific charity? Have you sponsored a family that may be struggling? Have you noticed your
neighbor hasn’t been able to keep up with their yard or make it to the grocery store and helped them out – after all, we have survived the
“Great Toilet Paper Shortage of 2020”. If you have we’d like to hear about it, and also share some of these stories with the broader team.
Jorge has asked that I act as point person for this project, so please send me via email any stories that you might have that could be
considered an “ACT OF KINDNESS” (AOK). Your examples can be big or small, financial or action based. Feel free to submit whatever you
have to me now, or along the way.

Here's an additional thought…if you have nothing to submit, perhaps this is a good reminder that there are those much less fortunate than
ourselves. Thus, never too late to perform an AOK. We look forward to receiving and sharing at least a few kindness stories. Thank you in
advance for your consideration.”

Staying Safe and Healthy!

We want to ensure that our employees continue to do what is needed to stay safe and healthy. Quest continues to determine what tools and
resources can be developed and used to help employees be able to keep themselves, their co-workers and their loved ones healthy during
this pandemic. Take a moment to read through some of the initiatives in place as well as the things you can do to support our goal of keeping
ALL employees safe and healthy!

COVID DOESN’T TAKE TIME OFF FOR THE HOLIDAYS!

With the holidays upon us, it is more important than
ever not to let your guard down. We all want nothing
more than for things to go back to some sense of
normal and to be able to surround ourselves with those
that mean the most to us, especially during the
holidays! As you plan holiday activities with family and
friends, remember the basic steps to protect your
health:
Wear a mask, Wash your hands, Watch your distance.

Thank you everyone for the amazing work you’ve done all year thru this pandemic. As we get into the holiday season and begin
connecting with loved ones… please be reminded to continue social distancing, washing your hands and wearing your masks. These
principles have proven to be a good testament of our safety practices and their effectiveness. Your work has been incredibly impactful to
society at large and will continue. We anticipate some changes in dynamics with the vaccine for the PCR and the antibody testing. Let’s
stay health and enter 2021 on a healthy note. – Dr. Andrew Young

Reminder: All COVID-19 policies and procedures as well as general information and testing information can

Work Must Go On!

Curtis Peters, Group Lead Route Service Representative in South Florida, was determined to get to work,
even in the midst of flooding from yet another tropical storm that hit Florida. In the picture (right) Curtis can
be seen wading out of his complex so that he can be picked up by a co-worker to get to the office. Curtis
knew they were short staffed and he wanted to do what he could to ensure he could get into work to serve
the patients and customers of Quest.
Thank you, Curtis, for your incredible dedication to Quest and the patients and clients we service! You are
a true Quest Hero!

Helping Others in Need

In November of this year, the Southeast Region Women in Leadership EBN sent out a “Call to Action”, asking employees to clean out
their closets and donate items to support those in our communities in need. This year has seen so many “spring cleaning” with the extra
time a lot of people have at home, that WIL felt it was the perfect time to use the closet clean outs as a way to help others in the
communities in which we all work and live. The response was beyond amazing! Take a look at just a few of the pictures capturing the
generosity of employees in Atlanta, Greensboro, Tampa and Miami (and surrounding areas). The charities that will benefit from these
donations are listed below. Thank you to everyone who gave back and helped make this call to action so successful!

Compliance Leadership Message

from Dr. Andrew Young, Southeast Region Medical Director

“Due to the COVID-19 emergency, we face a new environment in which policies for compliance and
patient privacy are more important than ever. Society is struggling with fears about personal and
public health. Therefore, our customers - whether they be patients, providers, hospitals, payers,
government or media - are particularly anxious for information.
In addition, we have been chosen to provide back-to-work testing for several large and famous
organizations. In this environment, we may be confronted with unusual requests for test results or other
protected health information.
We have been entrusted with a prominent role in the response to COVID-19, and this role comes with
a profound responsibility to handle patient specimens and protected health information in a confidential
manner. Please review the policies for compliance and patient privacy, and don’t hesitate to bring
questions or concerns to your supervisor.”

To All Quest Employees:

With the holiday season upon us, we find ourselves in the sprit of giving, as well as receiving. Although giving and receiving gifts may seem
to be a simple gesture of goodwill, please be reminded of Quest’s policies pertaining to clients, customers and suppliers:

Some situations may not be clearly addressed in a policy, or have a yes or no/right or wrong answer. If you’re unsure of what to do, contact
your manager/supervisor, Compliance Director, any member of the Compliance or Legal Departments, the CHEQline 800.650.9502 or
MyComplianceReport.com (online access code: QDI).

Quotes to Inspire

Quotes have played a very important part of this year for me. I wanted to use this “feel good” edition to share a few of my favorites.
These really spoke to me during difficult days as well as helped me to stop and be grateful for the times I wanted to not forget. I hope
some of these speak to you as well….. Enjoy.

ICYMI

QMS Newsletter

Each quarter, the National QMS Organization publishes a content-rich newsletter with insight and information
that all employees can benefit from. The latest volume appropriately titled, “Reflections and Lessons
Learned” includes a cover page story that is an inspiring letter from Jim Davis, EVP, General Diagnostics.
The rest of the pages are filled with great reflections from various leaders and employees, several of which
address a topic a lot of us can relate to—working in a virtual world. Take a moment to read all the stories in
the QMS Newsletter by clicking here.
One of the previous editions is a special COVID-19 edition published in June that highlights the amazing
contributions made by the QMS organization and others in response to the pandemic, has a great article
titled, “Southeast Region steps up to the COVID-19 challenge”.
All of the editions can be accessed by clicking here. Thank you to the QMS Organization for putting together
such an insightful publication that we all can benefit from reading!

program at no cost, even if you're not on a Quest medical plan. You will have until February 15 to
complete the screening and questionnaire.
