Standard grade We have put together this grading guide to help you pick the correct grading for your
Character grade project. You can also consult the many project photographs on our website which
page to determine which of the following grades are available in your chosen range

Prime grade

Even colour. Mainly clear boards. Occasional sound pencil knots up to 10mm diameter.
No splits or sap.

Select grade

Standard grade

Terms Of Trading

 All prices are quoted in £ per square metre ex works unless otherwise stated.
 VAT must be added to all prices.




 Goods may be inspected at our warehouse before delivery.



 20% deposit is required for all orders. Special orders need to pre-paid in full.
 All cheques must be paid at least 14 days in advance and cleared before any goods may be delivered or

collected
 Phone credit card payments may be accepted, but the card must be available to be inspected and the signature



 The Customer is responsible for unloading goods with his own labour and without undue delay.
 The customer must organise adequate labour to unload. Failure to do so may result in the delivery being

returned to our warehouse and a charge for delivery being made.
 Space for the delivery vehicle will need to be reserved if the delivery takes place in a narrow road where there

is no passing room for other vehicles. Failure to do so may result in the delivery being returned to our
warehouse and a charge for delivery being made.
 Chaunceys are not responsible for stacking the wood. Stacking advice sheets are available on request.



 The Customer shall be deemed to have accepted the goods if he retains them for more than 7 days without



Where a complaint is made the consignment as a whole must be retained or returned un-used. No claim will
