Abstract:  
The personal computer is one solution to time-management and planning problems. However, the need to have
a time-management program running constantly is a problem for those using a single processing machine.
Project management software embodying critical path methodology also aids managers in effective time
management. Project-management software on personal computers is easier to use and more accessible than
its predecessor on mainframes. Managers have more control when using a personal computer for project
management than when using a mainframe. Time-management software includes The Desk Organizer for the
IBM Personal Computer from Conceptual Instruments and Task Manager from Datamension Corp. Software for
project management includes Harvard Project Manager from Harvard Software and PMS II from North
American Micro.
