DEPARTMENTALIZATION OF ADIDAS

Adidas departmentalises their business into different categories in order to
execute the business in an efficient manner. The particular assignment has
highlighted the brief discussion on departmentalization of Adidas .

Departmentalization of Adidas is based on the product, market, or
geography which has the advantage of making functions in order to focus on
a specific good or service. Adidas is famous for its sports products including
clothes as well as footwear.

Apparels of Adidas including T-shirts, Jackets, Sweatshirts have created high
demand in the international market while Timberland has the huge
popularity specially on outdoor boots, Adidas has the tendency for
manufacturing famous products in a number of aspects.

Hence, the departmentalization of the product is based on the target
marketing among the sport categories. Geographical departmentalization
focuses on enhancing the business opportunities across the global platform
.

It is noticeable difference between Adidas and Timberland that the origin of
its company is in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Argentina,
however they does not have in Asian Countries. The organization structure
of Adidas has reflected the company’s operation in the international market.
Grouping activities of the company depend on the common customer type.

T A S K 3 : TIPS WORKING FROM HOME

P a g e 16 | 19

1. Maintain Regular Hours
• Set a schedule and stick to it...most of the time. Having clear guidelines for
when to work and when to call it a day helps many remote workers maintain
work-life balance.
• Sometimes you need to extend your day or start early to accommodate
someone else's time zone. When you do, be sure to wrap up earlier than
usual or sleep in a bit the next morning to make up for it.

2. Create a Morning Routine
• Deciding you'll sit down at your desk and start work at a certain time is one
thing. Creating a routine that guides you into the chair is another.
• A routine can be more powerful than a clock at helping you get started each
day. What in your morning routine indicates you're about to start work? It
might be making a cup of coffee before you tackle your to-do list.

3. Take Breaks in Their Entirety
• Don't short-change yourself during breaks, especially your lunch hour or
meal break.
• Set an alarm or timer on your phone, or mind the time with a standard clock.
No matter how you track your breaks, make sure to take them in their
entirety. For example, if you plan for an hour break and return to your desk
after only 40 minutes, walk away for another 20.

4. Take Sick Days
• When you're not well, take time off. If you're freelance or self-employed
without paid sick time, it can be tempting to power through illnesses and
keep working.
• Remember that for your long-term wellness and productivity, it's best to rest
and get better so that you can get back to work at full capacity.

P a g e 17 | 19

5. Interact with other humans.
• When your office starts working from home, you'll likely miss the casual
social interactions with colleagues you're used to throughout the day. When
working from home, you don't have the small talk and other activities that
make each day at the office unique.
• It’s a good idea to see another face during the day when most of your
workday is solitary. So, use your breaks to interact with others.

6. Get dressed before start working, though as you’re going into an office
• It might be simple but it can give you the same vibe as you get dressed to go
to the work in the office or your workplace while you working at home.
Because of that, it will raise your mood and spirit to do your job.
• For an example, you have an online meeting. If you get dressed for the online
meeting the same way you have a face to face meeting in the office it will
make you imagine that you’re actually in face to face meeting.

7. Defined your working hours clearly
• You should know your working hours very well because you must be very
clear about when you’re working or not. When you’re stick with your regular
working hours, it will give you better result of your work.
• If your working hours between morning till evening, you must not tell to
yourself to do your work at night. It’s because it will ruin your performance
by tomorrow.

8. Make sure have a comfortable work station.
• Most of the co-worker doesn’t have a proper work station at home but you
can make out one space or two for your working.
• Make sure to avoid working in your bedroom (unless you didn’t have any
choice).

P a g e 18 | 19

9. Always be patient
• Working from home can be really stressful. Try to be patient in every way
and also to the people that involved in your daily life. Such as your family,
colleagues, neighbour and also included yourself.

10. Accept all the incoming distractions
• All the incoming distractions are common because you’re working at home.
For an example, the doorbell, television, children for whom are married.
• You must accept that some of the distractions can be prevent and some can’t
be prevent. Try to adapt the distractions with your will as much as possible
as long as they are not taking over your entire whole working day.
