about the cover I bought my first Nikon camera in 2017 with the encouragement of my High school friend who I met in the 1970’s. He came back into my life, opened my eyes and encouraged me to tap into my creative side. I will be so ever grateful for his kindness and patience through teaching me this beautiful art called photography. It is wonderful to see the world thorough a lens. I love composing the picture in my mind which is always teeming with ideas. I will sometimes choose unusual viewpoints and I wait awhile for the right light or dramatic clouds to appear at the perfect moment to enrich the scene. I like how I can influence mood through contrast and colour during my editing process on the computer. I truly enjoy photography so much! I find it to be exciting and rewarding, and I am always learning something new. My friend and mentor died of cancer in 2021. With a contemplative gaze, they take in the overcast Sunday morning, the cool breeze flow across the shore as they survey the calm waters of the lake. Despite the gray clouds overhead, there’s a serene beauty to the scene, the muted colors of the landscape creating a peaceful atmosphere. It’s a moment of quiet reflection, where the artist finds solace in the rhythm of the lake and the melody of their thoughts.Thank you Debbie, JohnK More from Debbie Lake Spirits Sandy lake also known as “Lake Spirits” is located in Lakehurst Ontario, Canada. On a sunny day you can see a large beautiful heart shaped rock that lies on the bottom of the lake, known as “Giants Heart”. This rock glows with a peculiar purplish hue. First Nations claim that on days when the lake is perfectly calm, ripples form about the great stone. They claim that these ripples are pulsations from the heart-shaped stone. This lake is land-locked and has no feeder river. Water flows out of the lake and down Sandy Creek to Buckhorn lake. FREDDIE
Introduction: In the annals of music history, there are few figures as iconic and influential as Freddie Mercury, the flamboyant frontman of the legendary rock band Queen. From his electrifying stage presence to his unparalleled vocal range, Mercury left an indelible mark on the world of music that continues to resonate with fans across generations. As we celebrate his enduring legacy, let’s delve into the life, music, and legacy of this singular talent. The Early Years: Born Farrokh Bulsara on September 5, 1946, on the island of Zanzibar (now part of Tanzania), Mercury’s journey to stardom was as colorful as the persona he would later adopt. Raised in India and later moving to England, he demonstrated an early passion for music and performance. It was during his time at Ealing Art College in London that he met guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor, laying the foundation for what would become one of the greatest rock bands of all time. The Rise of Queen: With the addition of bassist John Deacon, Queen was officially formed in 1970, and the rest, as they say, is history. Their groundbreaking blend of rock, opera, and theatricality defied categorization, earning them legions of devoted fans around the world. At the heart of it all was Mercury, whose magnetic stage presence and dynamic vocal prowess propelled Queen to superstardom. Musical Mastery: Mercury’s vocal range was nothing short of extraordinary, spanning four octaves and capable of seamlessly transitioning from a soulful croon to a soaring falsetto. His songwriting contributions to Queen were equally impressive, with classics like “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Somebody to Love,” and “We Are the Champions” showcasing his lyrical depth and musical innovation. A Timeless Icon: Beyond his musical talents, Mercury’s larger-than-life persona and unapologetic embrace of his identity have cemented his status as a cultural icon. At a time when being openly gay was still taboo, Mercury fearlessly challenged norms and shattered stereotypes, becoming a symbol of LGBTQ+ pride and empowerment. Legacy and Influence: Mercury’s untimely death in 1991 from complications related to AIDS robbed the world of one of its most gifted performers, but his legacy endures. Queen’s music continues to captivate audiences worldwide, with their anthems regularly featured in films, commercials, and sporting events. Moreover, Mercury’s influence extends far beyond the realm of music, inspiring countless artists across genres and generations. Conclusion: As we reflect on the life and legacy of Freddie Mercury, it’s clear that his impact transcends the confines of time and genre. From his groundbreaking music to his fearless embrace of individuality, he embodied the true spirit of rock ‘n’ roll. Though he may be gone, his music lives on, serving as a reminder that legends never truly die. As Queen’s anthem proclaims, Freddie Mercury will forever be a champion — and his reign shows no signs of ending anytime soon. In the grand tapestry of music history, Freddie Mercury’s presence shines as brightly as ever, a testament to the enduring power of his artistry and the timeless appeal of his music. Long live the legend of Freddie Mercury, the incomparable voice of Queen and a true icon of the ages. ~ JohnK The Legend Lives On: Exploring the Legacy of Freddie Mercury

The idea for this comic series started years ago as part of a drawing spate. Stoneheart, the artist, has been a lifelong trained fine artist. KARMA the Kat appeared as a fanciful creature... just appeared, like all great art does. Inspired. And became several sketches over the years. The decision to turn KARMA the Kat into a comic was a collaborative one with a professional art director, Stoneheart was persuaded to explore some comic themes. All the panels are digitally hand drawn - every little bit of them! This is critical as it is, first and foremost, ART! We have over one hundred in the catalogue and are presently working on reels, short videos, and books. There are hundreds of online apps for making comics similarly there are thousands of stock photo libraries, clip art and musical loops for example. Creativity and originality are the most important driving factors in KARMA the Kat! Well, and making you chuckle of course! Oh, springtime melodies! As Karma the Kat, let me purr-fectly express my love for the vibrant season of spring and the harmonious tunes coming from Radio Downtown! The gentle breeze carries the sweet scent of blossoms, awakening my senses and filling my heart with joy. The chirping birds serenade me as I frolic in the sun-drenched meadows, my whiskers aquiver with delight. Music, oh sweet music, dances in the air like butterflies, enchanting my soul and inspiring me to prance and twirl with grace. The symphony of nature blends seamlessly with the melodies of human creation, creating a symphonic masterpiece that resonates deep within my feline spirit. Spring and music intertwine with Radio Downtown like threads in a tapestry, weaving a magical spell that wraps me in warmth and contentment. WHO IS CJC ? As a music promoter who specializes in worldwide radio airplay for bands and artists of various genres from all over the world, I interact daily with many people in different time zones. It’s a very busy job, which I love but who is Catherine aka CJ who is CJC Promotions? Working on my own to bring the best new releases to radio stations all over the world is a very busy role in which I am the owner, manager, admin team, sales team, accounting team, marketing team etc. I’ve got my multitasking down to a fine art and try to make sure that I get ‘me time’ on my day off to get away from my laptop and music. My love of music began when I was 7 years old and my parents gave me the vinyl record ‘Save Your Kisses For Me’ by the 70s UK group Brotherhood of Man, who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974. Today, as a 57 year old, I adore hearing new music and am in a very lucky position when artists send me new songs to listen to. I get my headphones on to do this, as I’m actually profoundly hard of hearing. I do have hearing but for the best quality, I use my headphones when doing this. In my spare time ( when I get any ), I love to go out for coffee and I’m a huge supporter of small, local, independent coffee shops and garden centres. My dream location to do this is beside the sea and I’m super lucky that I have this, only five minutes drive from my home which is also beside the sea in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Another joy of mine is swimming and I find this is where I get the most benefit to switch off, when I’m in the pool. During the winter months I swim indoors but during the summer months, I am lucky enough to be able to have the super Stonehaven Outdoor Pool only a fifteen-minute drive away from where I live. This is a true diamond locally as it’s an Olympic sized pool, heated and salt water which coupled with the beauty of swimming outside, definitely has the feel good factor as well as being great exercise. Another love of mine, is visiting Scottish National Trust Properties ( castles mostly )in the local area, which have a garden to have a short walk around. It’s truly amazing to see places like these, change during the seasons as the flower and plant growth comes on in leaps and bounds. I guess, reading back through my words, the other side of the business person CJC, is Catherine who loves peace and quiet away from noise. Time to appreciate life and the beauties of nature. Life is meant to be enjoyed so enjoy every single moment and try and get the balance between life and work correct. Catherine J Campbell CJC PROMOTIONS SCOTLAND Catherine Campbell

Georgia Paris Georgia Paris has been in several bands dating from the latter 70’s including Tango Sierra, Skye, Takoma, Stone Castle, Mythos, and performed with Gary Shane and Detours Band out of the Boston area. In 1979, she sang backups with a well established and touring band based out of New England called the Bronin Hogman Band. For years she dabbled with music but set forth with her new career as a 34 plus year teacher. She states that “technology is fantastic” but the downside is that people can become too dependent on it. We as a society are texting, but using abbreviations at times for replacement of words and cursive penmanship is being phased out in some districts. Writing songs is another way to teach many skills such as poetry, word usage, grammar, critical thinking skills, editing, etc. These same skills can be applied to songwriting skills as well as writing books. When my class was accepted to speak to the astronauts in the International Space Station, (out of 16, 000 schools world-wide), we were so honored to be the first class in NH chosen for this opportunity. After the passing of 2 of her band mates from 2 different bands, Georgia decided to find a way to “reinvent the wheel” so to speak, in order to keep her feet wet in the music industry. Since she only performs live on occasional benefits, she Songwriter/Vocalist
decided to put together a network of established musicians to work on tracks in different genres, work on -going projects and causes. She was published with Chuck Tennin of Big Music. Two of her songs entitled “Writing on the Wall” and “So Fragile”were featured on the BFM website. One of her songs (lyrics) was chosen for the multi-media project , GK Holland’s Starwalkers CD project. Unfortunately the CD hasn’t been released yet. Georgia also recorded a poem for published author, Ruby Lee Whitehurst for the potential upcoming soundtrack of the “Two Nations” film. However, the decision is still pending and they may use instrumentals only. This film is based on the Love’s Soft Voice” book. Two Nations is a production of Ruby Lee Whitehurst, She is hoping to be casted for a part when they start the filming and production of this movie. It all takes time. In the meantime, check out the Two Nations website for additional info. She was also involved with Social Media Promotions for the film “Red Man’s View.” Georgia was the Project Coordinator and an artist (co-wrtiter) for one song for Lois’s Chazen’s World Peace for Animals Project. She was delighted to bring in Keith Symes, a very talented musician from the UK and John Heinrich from the Ronnie Milsap Band. She has also recorded another song with John and brought in some very talented locals to this CD. For now, it’s about the journey and the people I am meeting along the way. Music is just one of my passions, and I enjoy helping others break into the industry, or by teaching them some of “tricks of the trade” that she had to learn. Once a teacher, always a teacher. Georgia recorded an album a few years ago, and brought in some celebrities and her local musician friends to contribute their songs to her album entitled “Unified.” Thanks going out to all of the incredible artists who contributed. Special thanks going out to Danielle Paquin, who also did back-ups with me on the track entitled “Symphony of the Winds” as well as Stan Williams who contributed the track for the album. Georgia wrote lyrics for 3 of the tracks and sang backups on others. She has currently put together what she refers to as the “Dream Team” of musicians. Currently, she has received tracks from Gary (Rocker Hart), whom she promoted when she did promotions for Surgery Records in England. Rocker and Georgia are currently working on an album together. Thanks also going out to the other contributors Larry Coleman and Imran Ahmed. She would like to thank her friend Jay Jourden DaBrand, Singer/Songwriter/Performer/ Writer/Film industry. They did a dual project together. In November 2019, Georgia was asked to go on tour with the incredible Dee Rock from the south. The Dee Rock tour also included Tony Moore (Iron Maiden), Nigel Bromley (George Michael’s drummer) , Dave Stevenson, Mike Brooks, and Annalise Lam. Lastly, I would like to thank Thomas Holmes, Linda Chorney and James Schaffer for recommending me for Grammy invites. Even though I didn’t make the cut, I was honored that they thought highly about what I do, and did so. Meant the world to me! We didn’t eat a lot of fast food because it was considered a treat, not a food group. We ate homemade meals consisting of meat, potatoes and vegetables - (which were not an optional choice). No vegetables, no dessert!!! We grew up during a time when we mowed lawns, pulled weeds, babysat, helped neighbor’s with chores to be able to earn our own money. We by no means were given everything we wanted. We went outside a lot to play, ride bikes, run with friends, play hide and seek, or went swimming. We rarely just sat inside. Bottled water was unheard of. If we had a coke, it was in a glass bottle and we didn’t break the bottle when finished. We saved it and cashed it back in at the shops for a sweet. After school, we came home and did homework and chores, before going outside or having friends over. We would ride our bikes for hours. We had to tell our parents where we were going, who we were going with and be home when the street lights came on! You LEARNED from your parents instead of disrespecting them, and treating them as if they knew absolutely nothing. What they said was LAW and you did not question it and you had better know it! We watched what we said around our elders because we knew if we DISRESPECTED any grown-up we would get a real telling off, it wasn’t called abuse, it was called discipline! We held doors, carried the shopping and gave up our seat for an older person without being asked. You didn’t hear swear words on the radio in songs or TV. Something to think about....
Dom Mar KZ is proof that dreams do not have an expiry date. For more than two decades the Toronto-area singer/ songwriter has shown a remarkable level of dedication and Perseverance to his crafts, and has never given up his desire to write, record and perform music. His most recent single, “Destiny” shows how much he is able to take the essence of his own emotional trials and tribulations, joys and successes, and create a piece of music that has meaning for any listener. “I suffered some losses in my family, and ever since then I have been looking at life differently. I used to be this perfectionist where everything had to be in order; now I don’t care about that anymore. It’s about enjoying the moment and getting the best out of life in the here and now,” he said. “I think everybody feels like that at some point. The message of the song is to not take life for granted, find your passion and live your life. Even when it’s tough and even when things don’t work out, it’s alright, be optimistic. Lift yourself up, there’s always something good that can come from something bad; live life with meaning with joy and with love.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ddsgo7hqFOI (Destiny Video) Dom Mar KZ came from a supportive family where his love of music and performing was nurtured from an early age. High school was where his love of music reached its full flowering as he first enrolled in the school’s music program and then joined with other school pals to form bands that hashed out the chords and melodies o the latest radio sensations from Duran Duran, Van Halen, and the other pop and rock hit makers of the mid-1980s. After studying music at Humber College he tried his hand at the local Toronto club scene for a time, performing at some of the top city venues of the day, some of which have their names etched in the firmament of Canadian rock history, including The Gasworks, Rock and Roll Heaven, and Nag’s Head North. “It was a great time for live music in Toronto. There were lots of clubs which were always packed with people wanting to see great live music,” he said. In the 2000s, he had the good fortune of having his band, and then just called Mar KZ, open for Canadian rock luminaries Def Leppard and Honeymoon Suite. And in 2006 he got to perform in front of a packed house opening for Bon Jovi at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre, after winning a radio station contest. Less than two years later, Mar KZ was added to five dates at the end of a run through Ontario and Quebec by legendary German hard rockers, The Scorpions. “It was like a dream come true. Who wouldn’t want to open for Bon Jovi at the Air Canada Centre? It was a great time. With the Scorpions we just contacted their promoter and sent him some music. He forwarded it to their manager, he liked it and we got those shows. It was an amazing experience and with each show they were more generous to us with their lighting and sound. It was like they wanted us to prove ourselves, and I guess we did,” Mar KZ said. In 2010 Mar KZ went into the studio to record an album with Bon Jovi producer/engineer Obie O’Brien. The chance to work with top session players and recording technicians was a real eye-opening experience, one that pushed Mar KZ to raise his game as a songwriter and musician. “You just saw the professionalism with all those guys. It was outstanding. It’s such a different experience when you are playing with top session guys. Time is of the essence; there’s no fooling around. They get the job done and do it so well. It’s incredible to be around that sort of atmosphere. And you learn so much. You learn it and you take it with you and use that work ethic and attention to detail with everything you do moving forward.” Fast forward to 2016 and with the powerfully transformative experience of writing, recording and now releasing “Destiny”, Dom Mar KZ’s creative fire is burning as high and hot as it ever has, and he is focusing all his time, energy and artistry on making his musical dreams come true. Most recently, Dom has won the Akademia Award for best pop/rock music video for his song “Destiny”. Once again, it’s proof that it’s never too late to Rock and Roll. https://www.facebook.com/dommarkzmusic?mibextid=LQQJ4d https://youtube.com/@dommarkz4803?si=N030eLPT7YE1OgCh DOM MARKZ
Gav King Skeletons For immediate release The old rock adage was to live fast, die young, and have a good looking corpse. Whilst Gav King gave the first one his best shot, he got sidetracked and skipped the last two meaning that now, almost 50 years after burning brightly on Bristol’s early Rock scene with Uncle Po (featuring Helen O’Hara, Dexy’s Midnight Runners) and becoming a fellow traveller of the city’s burgeoning punk/new wave scene of the late 70s with Private Dicks, he finds himself having a late surge of creativity. With help from friends Paul Guiver (Private Dicks) and former Tears for Fears and Robbie Williams sideman, Neil Taylor, Skeletons is eight tracks of dark, catchy, postpunk angst, the work of a man who has taken another look at his life and had a few thoughts: “Obviously everything that’s released now is viewed through the prism of the pandemic, and once I started doing that, I stared into the abyss of my own life. Before you could say ‘Partygate’ a bunch of songs were appearing on my hard drive.” Once the songs had started to take shape, Gav drafted in Neil Taylor taking on production duties: “Neil’s production is quite stunning; he’s added a depth to these songs and taken them in directions I really wasn’t expecting”. Blending majestic vocals with sweeping arrangements, Skeletons is a dark, mature record, littered with the infectious choruses. It’s fair to say making this album wasn’t something Gav saw himself doing, even a couple of years ago, but the Universe has a funny way of putting you where you are meant to be. To add to this melange an introductory Skeletons single by the King/Guiver/Taylor partnership is due for digital release 23.11.23. ‘I Really Care’ by Gav King and featuring Neil Taylor is a radio edit from a planned fulllength version to be included on a follow up album. One final, wondrous bonus. Heartbeat Records, such an important part of Bristol musical history, has been taken out of mothballs and is proud to announce it will be releasing Skeletons by Gav King early in 2024 on vinyl, CD and digital platforms. Tracks can now be streamed from Skeletons https:// soundcloud.com/kk-coyote/skeletons-ds-master-01- wav. Who are the band members and what do they play? Dan Briody - Lead Vocals, Bass Steve Mosley - Guitar, Backing Vocals Gordon Chalmers - Drums How and where did you get together? We formed on 2020 having been out of the music industry for many years. formed the band in Glasgow What are the band’s main influences? Classic 60s 70s 80s rock with a modern twist. ACDC, Bowie, Beatles Have you played any notable gigs, festivals or other events? Likewise radio or TV appearances? We have played around 30 gigs in Scotland and more on the cards this year. We have been on Sunny G Radio, Bishop FM Radio and Mad Wasp Radio Are there any other interesting or amusing happenings – no matter how small – that the band have been involved with that would be of interest to those who like your music? We are loving being back together in the band. Pressure off just enjoying the freedom to write new music we want. Getting back to our rock roots and making some noise Do you have any favourable quotes from previous reviews of the band that you’d be happy to share? Do you believe that rock is dead? Better think again while listening to Glasgow-based trio Ruby Nixxons’s latest single “Set Me On Fire”, as they explode with pure hard rock that’ll blow your speakers, let me tell you more about it. With rocking riffs and bluesy vocals, Ruby Nixxons’ “Set Me On Fire” hits really hard. Its raw heavy riffs, sharp melodies, pounding drumming, and groovy bass says a lot about Ruby Nixxons’ deep rock roots as they lead us through a killer dynamic structure with loads of movements and guitar hero moments. I loved the way they carefully crafted their multi-layered riffs with perfect rhythm and lead guitar harmonies while letting the vocal melody lead the song’s interesting ramp progression creating a one-hell of an energetic rocking ride. “Set Me On Fire” is a pure old-school hard rock tune with heavy riffing, fluid catchy melodies, and an entertaining structure that gets you hooked right from its intro. Ruby Nixxons managed to create a solid hard rock classic that’s their very own with no cliches and no recycled riffs or sounds, just their genuinely unique sound, and that’s pretty rare nowadays. Looking forward to more from Ruby Nixxons, keep on rocking guys, cheers! .... From Rock Era Magazine Where was the single/EP/album recorded and who was involved in its production? Recorded at Waterfront Studios in Falkirk Scotland. The band recorded and this was mixed by Andy at the recording studio. Is there a particular ethos behind the single/EP/ album or any particular music styles or events that inspired it? Ethos is hard rock with classic vibes and a modern twist Can you briefly describe what the song/each song is about? If you are releasing an album then either describe the thinking behind the project or choose a couple of lead tracks to focus on. It’s a tale of a destructive relationship set to a pounding guitar riff and solo Were there any notable or amusing happenings surriunding the recording/production of the EP? As above, list whatever might be of relevance. Not Really. Please provide a one or two-line personal quote that can be attributed to a band member, about either the band themselves or the release. Obviously the more eye-catching this is the better. “Getting back to what makes rock great whilst drinking toxic wine” Dan https://www.facebook.com/RubyNixxons https://rubynixxons.com/ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWbCmZpZqeDH9mRAjK2QUTA RUBY NIXXONS
SCOTT WATSON I am a guitarist and Singer/Songwriter who has been playing since around the age of 18. My music tastes are very varied with a good love for all genres. I have been writing for about 10 years now, but I’ve never really done anything with my songs up until a few years ago. Writing is something that I have dabbled with on and off, but when lockdown came around there was no excuse not to pursue it. Most of my life evolves around Music and I work for a production company that do weddings, big award nights, small festivals - that kind of thing. I also play guitar for a blues/rock covers band and we enjoy playing everything from pubs to car rallies. Flora’s music gravitates towards the genre of pop but has a definite undertone of blues. She is inspired by artists such as Taylor Swift, Adele, Amy Winehouse, and Billie Eilish. Not only does Flora enjoy writing, but she has also always had a love for being on stage. This love began when she was very young and started doing plays. This developed into doing lots of musical theatre. This is where she discovered her love for singing in front of people and realised she could do this with her own music. Flora has been performing live in front of crowds ranging from 50-100+ people for over a year. Doing this has enabled her to find her own style of performing, and also start to grow a small but loyal following. Flora’s style of performance gravitates to a very open and intimate engagement with her audience through her very topical and personal songs. One of her favourite parts of performing live is the live audience, and interacting with them throughout the show. In the past two years Flora has written more than an album worth of music. Like many young artists, she turned to music during the COVID-19 lockdowns. This time allowed her to develop her writing style and her technique. Since Flora’s first release back in September 2022, she has released tracks every 3 months. Her music has not only developed and grown but her audience has too. She has recently surpassed a total of 350,000 global streams. “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the Stars”
Francesca Confortini New Summer Anthem For May Pieces of Glass - Francesca Confortini While you’re awaiting the early summer sun, listen out for new single from Italian singer-songwriter Francesca Confortini; ’Pieces of Glass, out on 1st May 2024. Her new single is a unique blend of summer-haze pop, jazz and R&B. Written by Francesca at the tail end of the Covid lockdowns, the song celebrates renewal and living for the moment. The track is the musician’s 3rd release following ‘Light” and’ The Window ‘ and first lead track from forthcoming debut album scheduled for 2025. “A Song For The Moment…” “Pieces of Glass was written as a metaphor” says the singer; “it’s about duality and longing for the moment - where things go back to where they were meant to be. During the pandemic I tried to stay busy, focused, but inside felt pretty fragile. The possibilities in front of me felt like“pieces of glass”. Born in Milan and having worked as a session musician throughout Europe, Confortini is based in London and focused on her own music which combines her passion for jazz with equally strong pop roots. “I was riding my Vespa home through traffic and stopped at a light in Kings Cross. I looked up and realised on that day here in the UK the clouds were literally flying past. Where I’m from in Italy the clouds are not always so fast and so I wanted the song to convey that sense of pace: the structure is deliberately non-linear - the song stays in constant motion”. PRESS & MEDIA Nick Prentice Media Room [email protected] 07823 884006
Collaboration The singer is quick to acknowledge her fellow musicians. “I owe everything to my bandmates”she says. “ I’m used to performing other people’s material, but that’s a different type of responsibility and my band mates, also close friends and amazing musicians themselves, have made it much easier to share my own songs. I’m grateful for their support”. When not busy working on her own debut album scheduled for 2025, Confortini performs across the UK and works as a session vocalist. Recent collaborations include LA-based pianist Brian Clemens, a film score for The Peasants with Katie Melua, performances with London Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Concert Orchestra, Joe Stilgoe, Mozes Rosenberg, Paulus Schafer and Korean artist Lim JungHyung. Highlights include London Jazz Festival, The Pheasantry and a stand out moment at London’s 606 Club performing in front of her entire family. “My family came over from Italy and it was very special sharing my songs with them for the first time. I’ve been singing professionally for 13 years and am used to the stage, but it’s incredible how performing your own songs in front of family feels like butterflies - I love that!” Pieces of Glass is available to download and stream on all digital platforms from 1st May 2024. SNAKESKIN SHOE REVIEW LITTLE SYMPHONIES FOR THE KIDS Snakeskin Shoe Review are one of Scotland’s most quirky and original indie pop/rock bands, and are currently working on their third album, also called “Little Symphonies”. Lead songwriter and singer James Kerr has an encyclopaedic knowledge of pop music and is always happy to chat. This is an upbeat and uplifting power pop/rock stomper with a hint of darkness, built around an anthem with harnesses the freedom that great pop music can bring you. Little Symphonies For The Kids is what Phil Spector called his wall of sound productions, and everything would be lovely and exciting until he famously would force singers to finish sessions at gunpoint, as referenced in the lyrics.

T Jae Christian Like so many artists, T. Jae started his music career at an early age, and by the time he moved to Nashville, he was a seasoned entertainer, and on his way to becoming an established song writer. He put his performing aside for a while to pursue writing and record production. Before long, his songs were being recorded by such artist as: Roy Orbison, Nat Stucky, Charlie Pride, Jeanne Pruitt, T. Graham Brown, (blue grass great) Jimmy Martin, and many independents. Due to his friendship, association and guidance of the legendary Producer, Owen Bradley, T. Jae has also become an outstanding producer. In the late 1980’s, as the music was going in different directions (no longer traditional country) he formed his own label (Universal Sound Records) to make an outlet for the many great older artist that were being cast aside for the new movement. After establishing himself as a viable artist and producer in the European marketplace, he released such fine Indie artist as: Mary Lee, Pat Roden, Rick Sharp, Harley Cummins, Paul Alan coons Ralph Parker, Mindy Miller, and as of late, the great T. Graham Brown, who he is currently producing on Universal Sound Records. T. Jae is currently touring with Blue Grass Great, Doyle Lawson & Quick Silver. T. Jae has performed with many great artists: George Jones, Buck Owens, Ray Price, Conway Twitty, Roy Acuff, Ferlin Husky, Jimmy Martin, Johnny Paycheck, lefty Frizzell, to name a few. He has toured Europe playing to sold out venues every place he performed. The European market has been great to T. Jae with awards such as: Artist and producer of the year, many #1 releases and albums of the year. Ralf Beitner with Amy Lungu You are invited to listen to some songs that I have written over the years. Writing songs and playing them is one of my favorite things to do. It is a way to balance my moods and emotions. It helps me to relax and deal with things that happen to me or around me. Many of the songs, but not all of them, have to do with my very own experiences. Some have to do with other people´s lives and some are merely fictional. I address people who may relate to the words and music that I have written. Then the song that originally only had a meaning for me suddenly gets a meaning for them. That´s always a very special thing to me. So I offer my music to those who somehow feel like I feel. Thank you for listening! https://www.ralfbeitner.de/welcome_dup6759
Release Date: 14th March 2024 On March 14th I also have a corresponding music video releasing too on Youtube. Artists Sound Among the clang of electric guitars Taynee Lord sits upon her vocal throne, producing a heady mix of anthemic hooks and commanding lyrics. Prepare yourself for high octane country twang as Taynee Lord gives you music for sunsets and highways from Bristol to Nashville. Socials / Website: https://linktr.ee/tayneelord About the Song: Heavy Air has an ambience around Taynee’s metaphor for someone getting anxiety. The song’s lyrics highlight feeling trapped because of someone else’s lies, which then stops you from being able to speak your own truth. ‘Heavy Air’ meaning there’s no space left for your side of the story when the air has already been clouded by other people’s judgment. You let your emotions take over as you can no longer calm down. The tension builds in the music as the song goes on which really reflects this emotion of anxiousness Heavy Air was recorded with Rockfield Studio engineer Tim Lewis and Tom Meighan’s (Kasabian) producer/engineer Ross Rothero-Bourge. Good morning, I am Scott Blackmon Myrtle Beach SC area. I was top booked Myrtle Beach SC to Wilmington NC 2021 2022 and late 2022 and 2023 I took time off to record in Nashville. I have been on two t v segments and performed my first single Myrtle Beach Memories on local TV morning show. I have been nominated Nashville to The Carolinas and getting ready to release a few more great songs. Picture Perfect and Nashville Lights are from my heart and were easy to write, arrange produce and record. I am excited about the future and I thank you from my heart for everything you do for all independent artist. Scott Blackmon. SCOTT BLACKMON James Lynas James was born in Belfast Northern Ireland. Although he was a city boy he was country at heart when it came to choice of music. He was influenced by artists such as Johnny Cash , Dwight Yoakam , Waylon Jennings , Elvis Presley , George Jones and many more. James first started singing at house parties at the age of 8 for family and friends and by the time he was 17 he was fronting an Elvis tribute show with a 7 piece band behind him. Although this was a successful show James never really felt it was what he wanted as he just wanted to be an Elvis fan not the man. It wasn’t until his early 30s he decided to do what his heart was telling him to do and go country. So he made his first country music video performing Keith Whitley’s song Don’t Close Your Eyes that was aired on all Sky Tv Country Music Tv shows. After that he had a number 1 hit on the European Country Music charts with She Don’t Look That Lonely To Me. Then another number 1 on the Australian and Tasmanian country music charts with Bottle Top Bars. Then a number 1 in Ireland with I Wish Every Night Was Saturday Night that was featured in the Movie A Bump Along The Way. After this James then went on RTE Celebrity goggle box with Mel Gibson , Mark Wahlberg , John Lithgow and Will Ferrell and also appeared on BB1 Keepin Er Country Tv Show and RTE1 Stetsons and Stilettos Tv Show. Recently in 2023 a song he recorded called Love Sunrise was snapped up by the Line Dancing scene around the world.
YOU SET MY WORLD ON FIRE is my first single of 2024. This Country Rock Song is about finding love where and when you least expect it and how it can change your life in an instant. Featuring Andy Southern Rose on Bass Guitar and Jonathan@ JTstudios on Drums Paul Jupe You set my World on Fire
BRAIDWOOD — “What It Is” new single release from Braidwood’s third album, Obstacle Illusion Based in the Greater Vancouver area of beautiful British Columbia, Braidwood crafts songs in the classic pop rock genre. With this new single, there is more of a turn toward a lighter, more acoustic sound when compared to the big chord power pop of the last release. “The new mixes are pure London power pop … to the likes of The Faces .. BadÞnger É.Graham Parker É.. Braidwood bg vocal prowess is that of legends with true vocal capabilities, when producers worked hard on the embellishment of true power pop vocal arrangements. Brought out loud and proud!!! If you like Power Pop, the Braidwood ride is the journey for you.” — Rob Begg, mixing engineer, Vancouver, BC “In the year of the 50th anniversary of the release of The Beatles’ “White Album” comes Braidwood’s Second Cacophony. Obviously, Braidwood is not The Beatles but the diversity of Braidwood’s second album has a similar effect, and a Beatles influence runs throughout.” — Tom Harrison | The Province, Vancouver, BC, Nov 23, 2018 All songs written, recorded, and produced by Brent Braidwood All songs SOCAN Contact: www.braidwoodsongs.com
