Rose L. Brazelton was born on December 16, 1936, in Rose met and married her husband James O. Brazelton, Sr., in 1957.
Alexandria, LA, to the late Annie M. and Louis Jones Sr. Rose moved to Gary Indiana in 1959. To this union three children were
Rose was the first born of three children to this union, born, Cheryl Brazelton-Cooper-Stanley, Wayne, and Christopher
Louis Jones Jr. (Indianapolis., IN) and Willie M. (Joyce) Brazelton Sr. all of Gary, Indiana. With this union, her bonus children
Hayes of Topeka KS. Rose is proceeded in death by her through marriage to James included Valorie Brazelton-George, Rabbi
youngest son Christopher Sr., brother Willie M. Hayes and James Jr. (Beth) Brazelton and Corey Brazelton all of Gary; plus Godson
grandson Raymond B. Cooper. Oliver Ratney Jr., and a host of grand-children and great-grand-children.
Rose is also survived by her daughter-in-law Jacqueline Williams-
At an early age, Rose accepted Christ as her Lord and Brazelton, sisters-in-law Ola Crump of Chicago, IL, Marcella Brazelton
Savior with the United Methodist Churches. Rose used and Joyce Hayes of Topeka, KS. Rose’s favorite cousin was Louis Brown
her beautiful singing voice and praised the Lord of St. Louis, MO. Rose’s oldest friends were, Mrs. Olivia Ratney and
throughout Louisiana in many United Methodist Francis Benard. Her spiritual sisters were, Mrs. Dorothy Jung and Mrs.
Churches. She toured with this singing group as a child Jamie Golliday.

she headed the Church Beautification Group. She was a member of
Eastern Star and Cub Scout Den Mother of Troupe 141. Rose spent her
free time gardening in her backyard, enjoyed cooking and most of all
singing.
