THE OLD TOWN ALTSTADT

It usually takes a 10-minute walk from the hotel to the Old Town Altstadt, the historic
city center of Zürich. The narrow pedestrian streets are lined with shops, restaurants,
hotels, and the residences of the locals. It takes several hours to wander through the
old town at a leisurely pace.

A popular thing to do while in Zürich is to take a boat on Lake Zürich. This makes a nice
break from walking the city streets and visiting museums. The river is also perfect for

UETLIBERG MOUNTAIN

A large hill providing a nice view over the
city of Zürich. It is located on the outskirts of
Zürich. To get here, take the train from
Zürich about 30 minutes, then keep walking
uphill for 10 minutes to reach the viewpoint.

DAY 2 LUCERNE

LUCERNE

The gateway to central Switzerland, sited LUCERNE
on Lake Lucerne, is embedded within an
impressive mountainous panorama.
Thanks to its attractions, its attractive
shopping offer, the beautiful lakeside
setting and the nearby excursion moutains.

10.00AM RIGI MOUNTAIN
15 minutes by boat from Lucerne

In the morning we will depart for the mountains in central Switzerland. We will take the cable
car and cogwheel train to visit the Rigi mountain. One of the signature experiences in
Switzerland is to ride the cog railway from the shores of Lake Lucerne to an elevation of 1,798
meters on Mt Rigi. From the top, views stretch all the way to the Black Forest in Germany. One
of the popular things to do is make a scenic circle route by taking the boat from Lucerne to
Vitznau, where you board the cogwheel train to Rigi Kulm. Then take another cogwheel train
down to Arth-Goldau and catch a train back to Lucerne.

you can see the beautiful alpine peaks and hear
about the history and lore of the land around the
lake on a one-hour Lake Lucerne panoramic
sightseeing cruise. The 49-meter yacht has indoor
and outdoor seating, as well as refreshments
available, and you will be able to hear the
commentary about the lakeside sights in English
with the audio headset that's included in the tour.

KAPELLBRÜCKE (CHAPEL BRIDGE)

A 3-minutes walk to Chaple bridge. Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke) is one of the most
iconic landmarks of Lucerne. This covered wooden footbridge is the best-known and most
photographed sight in Lucerne, featured in all brochures and travel guides. A walk over the
famous Chapel Bridge is a must-do in Lucerne!

4.30 PM LUCERNE'S OLD TOWN

A 1-minute walk from Chapel bridge to
Old town. The Old Town Lucerne is just
beautiful with its old buildings and
bridges, narrow cobblestone alleyways
and gorgeous medieval squares.
You will wander, admiring the beautiful
painted facades and oriel windows of the
medieval buildings, particularly those
around Weinmarkt, an attractive square.
This is also a good place to come for a
little bit of shopping as the area is filled
with shops, boutiques and cafes.
You will find all the famous Swiss products
here such as watches, army knives and
chocolates as well as a range of other

10.00 AM ZYTGLOGGE (CLOCK TOWER)

After breakfast at the hotel, walk two
minutes to the Zytglogge, a well-known
medieval tower in Bern, as well as one
of the city's most recognizable symbols
and the oldest monument. You will
spend your time exploring behind the
clock that has existed for hundreds of
years, learning about the history of this
Bernese monument, and admiring the
breathtaking view from the top of the
tower.

11.00 AM BERN'S MINSTER

A 5 minute walk takes you to Bern’s Minster. The
Bernese Minster has the highest church spire in

or enjoy the view of the Old City from the
platform at the top of the spire.

historic monument in Switzerland and a
great family-friendly destination. Enjoy

Walk down 5 minutes from Chillon Castle to
admire natural beauty of Montreux, Lake

20-minute trip by bus from Jet d'eau

One of the oldest restaurants in Old
Town Geneva. Nestled Place Du Molard,
a historic place dating back to the 14th
century, Café du Centre is perfect for
enjoying traditional food in a culturally
rich environment. It offers unique
dishes made from shrimp and oysters.
In addition, you will love the café's
pancakes, French toast, and fried eggs.

CATHÉDRALE ST-PIERRE 13.50 PM

You'll still be in the old town after
lunch. During the visit you'll be
able to climb the 157 steps of the
towers leading to the top of the
Cathedral. The Saint Peter
cathedral towers in the heart of
the old town. It began construction
in 1160 and took over 400 years to
finish. The inside of the cathedral
has been divided into antique
museum zones. Artifacts discovered in Geneva are displayed to the south of the cathedral.
An archaeological pit is located beneath the cathedral. The site of a Roman colony and the
ruins of an old church from the fourth and sixth century.
