PRAYER OF SAINT JANUARIUS

We give glory and praise to you O Lord for the bold witness of
your Bishop, Januarius. By his selfless devotion and steadfast
courage, he laid down his life rather than betray our Holy Faith.
By many heavenly signs and wonders you have shown St.
Januarius to be a great defender and protector of the Church.
Unto this day we continue to marvel at the miracle of his dried
martyr’s blood which liquefies each year in the presence of your
faithful gathered together to celebrate his feast day. May we
imitate the fidelity and charity of your servant St. Januarius and
someday share the eternal happiness of heaven with him and
all your saints. Amen.

PEACE PRAYER OF SAINT FRANCIS OF ASSISI

Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace; Where there is
hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where
there is error, the truth; Where there is doubt, the faith; Where
there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; And where
there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, Grant that I may not so much seek To be
consoled, as to console; To be understood, as to understand; To
be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive; It is in pardoning that we are
pardoned; And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.

Dear Saint Cecilia, one thing we know for certain about you
is that you became a heroic martyr in fidelity to your divine
Bridegroom.
We do not know that you were a musician but we are told that
you heard Angels sing.
Inspire musicians to gladden the hearts of people by filling the
air with God’s gift of music and reminding them of the divine
Musician who created all beauty.
Amen.
