YOUR NEXT STEPS
I’m excited to share our 2022 Fall Impact Report! At our
UCCMEDFIELD.ORG last congregational meeting, you asked for more regular
communication from our leadership teams. This report – the
first of ongoing seasonal communications that capture the
impact we’re making locally and globally – attempts to fulfill that
commitment.

I recently met Adam Hamilton, founder and lead pastor of Church
of the Resurrection in Kansas City (the largest Methodist church
in the country). I asked Adam if he had any words of wisdom on
growing a small church. He said, ‘It’s about making people feel
welcome, having sermons that engage the heart, mind, and hands,
delivering strong educational programs for youth and adults, and
serving the community.’

I had expected to hear Adam talk about something we weren’t
doing. Instead, I left our conversation energized about our church,
our leadership, and the way God is working at UCC M E DFI E L D! I’d
love to hear how you’re feeling after reading this report. Reach out
anytime at [email protected] or 508-667-8001.

FINANCIAL RECAP

REVENUE Donations to UCCMEDFIELD
through October 2022 totaled

$570,600

SPENDING HIGHLIGHTS

Our spending through 2022 tells a story of a church investing in its health and growth.
We are convinced that focused investment furthers impact. Through this year we have focused on improving and
maintaining our building and grounds. We spent $150,000 on enhancements that include…

Installing new boilers to Purchasing an advanced Refinishing our front Building Missions
replace 3 old + failing sound system to achieve doors, painting our Central to receive
boilers to keep our better audio in our sanctuary walls, and donations for our local
spaces warm sanctuary (installation is power-washing the missions partners
scheduled for Dec/Jan) outside of the building

Additionally, we refreshed our lobby and Fellowship Hall to create welcoming environments. After postponing
for several years, we painted and washed the exterior of our building (including squeaky-clean windows!). These
improvements were funded in part by $84,000 of generous giving that was earmarked for these specific projects.

Giving to our missions partners

around the world totals $39,300 so

far this year, with more to come in Q4.

While it has been an amazing year, we still have work to do and a financial gap to close.

At our Annual Meeting in early 2022, we discerned what God was calling our church to do this year and approved
a revenue budget of $873,291. As of the end of October, we have received revenues of $570,600 and will need to
receive additional donations totaling $302,691 by the end of December to meet that revenue goal.

You can give securely online at U C C M E D F I E L D . O R G / G I V E

You can expect your personal, year-to-date giving statement in the coming week.

CHRISTMAS

Some words seem difficult to describe and
impossible to define. Though we often hear the
term ‘glory’ in church settings – we sing it in our
worship and say it in our prayers - it takes a bit of
digging to reach the heart of what the Bible means
by the ‘glory of God.’ Our Advent sermon series will
bring glimpses of glory to life as we move toward
Christmas. Worship with us every Sunday at 10am
