Events/Workshop organized by Department

 Department of civil engineering conducted “ICT 59 – Sustainable Environmental
Management” by NITTTR – Chandigarh from 10th February’2020 to 14th
February’2020 in which 12 faculty members participated under Faculty development
programme.

 One day Tacheometry Survey was organized by Department of Civil Engineering for
the students of 6th Semester at Taranga hills on 22nd & 29th February 2020. One group
consisting of 41 students went on 22nd February 2020 and second group again of 41
students on 29th February 2020. The students were accompanied by Prof.Hiral Patel
and Prof. Ronak Modi.

Engineering has organized an Online Bridge Course on “Practical Concept for Civil
Engineers” from 8th to 13th June 2020.

Speakers:

1). Mr. Hiral Patel – Assistant Professor – Civil Engineering – UVPCE – GNU.

2). Mr. Nirmal S Mehta – Assistant Professor – Civil Engineering – UVPCE – GNU.

3). Mr. Ronak Modi – Assistant Professor – Civil Engineering – UVPCE – GNU.

4). Mr. Abhay Bhuva – Assistant Professor – Civil Engineering – UVPCE – GNU.

5). Mr. Arjun Butala – Assistant Professor – Civil Engineering – UVPCE – GNU.

6). Mr. Kamlesh Damdoo – Assistant Professor – Civil Engineering – UVPCE – GNU.

Responses: Total 200 Students registered themselves for the said Bridge Course.
Above mentioned online course was conducted on Google meet. On an average almost
40+ students were present in the said course and considering their attendance following
24 students got the Certificate of completion.

Engineering has organized an Online Crash Course on “Design of Reinforced
Concrete Structures” from 3rd to 8th June 2020.

Speakers:
1). Mr. Arjun Butala – Assistant Professor – Civil Engineering – UVPCE – GNU.
2). Ms. Vidhi Patel – Assistant Professor – Civil Engineering – UVPCE – GNU.
3). Mr. Hiral Patel – Assistant Professor – Civil Engineering – UVPCE – GNU.

Response: Total 251 Students Registered themselves for the said Course.

Above mentioned online course was conducted on Google meet. On an average almost
60+ students were present in the said course and considering their attendance following
48 students got the Certificate of completion.

on 26th June 2020.

Above mentioned online course was conducted on Google meet. On an average almost
40+ students were present in the said course and considering their attendance following
24 students got the Certificate of completion.

1. Department Faculties switched to online mode and took lectures and laboratory sessions,
